Flagstick Struck By Lightning

That is beyond cool. Also, glad I wasn't reaching for it when that happened!!!!

How is the flagstick still in one piece?

Cool pattern in the grass though.

should have hooked it to the back of a golf cart. Probably would have hit 88 MPH and then who knows where it would have ended up...

pretty cool but scary at the same time

That looks really cool, I bet it looked pretty scary if anyone saw it happen.

Mother Nature with the Hole In One!

Sooo, aparently God CAN hit a 1 iron.

The Lightning got trapped in the greens. Crazy

woah, that's cool looking!

How cool of a photo of a hole out right there would be.

That's crazy!! Looks kinda awesome though

That is sweet. Where did this happen? It cant be good for the grass

They should leave it as it is as a trademark of the course.

That looks both incredibly cool and incredibly scary...

Wow that's crazy

That's freakin cool looking. Looks like the green has veins

That is really cool - wonder how long the grass will look like that?

cool looking photo

That's a cool picture. Wonder how long it will take for the green to heal?

this picture makes no sense to me. flags are not conductive and that cup is white. if lightning hit it ,it would look like a black hole..maybe photoshopped?

A steel flagstick would certainly be conductive.

I have to assume the roots were incinerated and that grass is going to die, right?

Saw this pic on fb. Think it may be the screw on top that was conductive
