They are probably better at hiding non pg13 websites than magazines these days and getting around parental controls

And those non pg13 sites are what has driven down sales of PB tremendously, I remember back in the 60's when PB was thought to be as risqué as it gets people would say, "it is not about the pictures, it is about the articles." I guess we get to find out if that is true now.

dedinitley a different world for magazines now to compete in. Somehow I don't think focus on the articles is going to help them, but is going to be an interesting watch

Isn't that called Maxim. Playboy trying to grab that market, hmmmmm.

Leave it to a guy named Flanders to remove nudity from Playboy.

Stupid Flanders.

What is PG today was R or X during my youth. The movies currently on HBO and Cinemax, were an adventure to find in my youth. I guess the sale of National Geographic magazines has declined as well.

I am honestly surprised at this. Not that they are going PG-13, but moreso that they still publish at all. Right along the lines of Maxim, FHM, heck even the newspaper up here has women in swimsuits every day.

I see this as the beginning of the end of Playboy. With the "one click from free porn :comp:" on the internet society we live in these days, how can Playboy compete....the articles? :glasses-nerdy:

I financed my education playing music and tending bar at local Gentlemen's Clubs. Playboy did a pictorial entitled "the Women of DC". A photo of one of my co-workers so to speak was in the pictorial. The commentary on her stated that she was a Secretary. Perhaps, Playboy did not fully understand when she stated that she was good at shorthand.

Playboy is going PG-13

I'm not suprised. You could see this coming. Funny they still claim its in the top 10 most recognizable brands...

This definitely shocks me. Removing the piece of your brand that you are most known for is shocking. I haven't opened a playboy in years. But we used to get them in my house in college and I will say it is a good publication, much more high brow and "grown up" than a Maxim or FHM. I didn't read it for the articles but they were worth reading.

The Sunshine Girl is the best thing about the newspaper.

Unfortunately nobody magazines it anymore. Now it's cold, distant robot lovin'.

I remember the "Women Of" series. I mean I remember hearing about them
