Hi all. We are a group of 16guys from Iceland that for the last 3 years have been to Orlando to play golf. We would like next year to be diffrent and are thinking about Phoenix Arizona as a destination. As none of us have been there we are completly lost in where to stay and play so I am looking for some ideas from you that have any knowlage of the place.

We don't need 5* hotel or by any means fancy restort. Like in Orlando we stayed at Orange County National and the rooms there are just like 2*-3* road model, but the courses are top notch. So we are looking for something simular if you get my point (quality of golf above quality of rooms/hotel).

Plan is, wake up, eat breakfast, play 18 holes, eat lunch, play 18 holes, eat dinner and sleep....repeat for 10 days.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

It depends on the year, on what hotel pricing will be, and golf prices too. But plenty of great places to stay. My advice, if staying and playing for ten days AirBnB may be the better option.

check out We-ko-pa

All of these will have hotel and golf on site as well as other golf nearby to complete a package.

1. We Ko Pa
2. The Boulders
3. Talking Stick
4. Ak Chin
5. Four Seasons at Troon North
6. The Wigwam
7. The Phoenician

+1 for we ko pa or talking stick

What about legacy resort?

If you're up for a drive once you get to Phoenix, Ventana Canyon in Tuscon is outstanding, also. Both the Canyon and Mountain courses are fantastic.

These would be my top 2 suggestions based on what you're looking for.

Talking Stick has a TopGolf next door too, if you don't get enough golf in during the day.

Love it ....there are so many great places to play in AZ. Depending on time of year you go it can also be real pricey I would start with the Scottsdale area for the first few days then move around the area you have 10 days so I would find different places to stay as there are great courses to the North South East and west of Phoenix. Grey hawk is a favorite TPC of Scottsdale another I love a place called the golf club of Estrella so many great places to play

Talking stick would be a great home base as it has 36 holes of great golf, a casino and Top Golf right by. We Ko Pa is awesome too but it's literally in the middle of no where. I highly recommend playing both We Ko Pa courses with the Sagaro being my favorite of the two.

Avoid TPC stadium course unless you are set on playing a PGA stop. It's just not that exciting of a course.
