Can a fairway 3hl replace a 3w 10.5?

Gotta be honest and say I don't understand the question fully, but if you are asking if a 3 "HL" fairway (aka the 4 wood) at 17 degrees can replace a 3 wood at 10.5, my guess is they will have different distances.
