Looking to get back into camping on a seasonal site either this year or next year. Looking at 28-30' trailers with 1-2 slides preferably with bunks for the kids. I had a 26' 2001 Keystone several years ago but was minimalistic. So far we've looked at some from Keystone, Wildwood, and Coachmen Chaparral. We'll be towing with a Tahoe so it can't be a tank. What do you guys have? Pro's and con's etc.

Just got rid of our Discovery 40' Diesel Pusher for a song.
Still have the THP Tour Van which is a Mercedes Sprinter RV conversion.

I believe robman has a travel trailer.

We looked at a few motorhomes but decided on travel trailer. There's a bunch of quality parks in the Plymouth/Bourne area.

We got a Grand Design travel trailer and just took it out for the first time last week. We really like it so far.

We have a Fleetwood Revolution with 3 slides that we love. The biggest issue I see with some people who purchase RV's is they never get used and that just kills them.. Ours gets used all the time.Revo.jpg

Whoa, that's a good looking rig. Way more than I need. We're on a couple waiting lists for sites and just want to plop a trailer on the site. They're both close enough that we can commute to work from there if we want.

We started out with a pop-up many years ago. Then upgraded to a 27' trailer followed by a 32' Big Country 5th wheel. We downsized to this 29' 5th wheel a couple of years ago. It's about 2,000 lbs lighter than the previous one. Pulls much better and much easier to back into our driveway.

We gotta 34' travel trailer that we pull around ohio. We camp pretty much from April til October. This year we're taking it up to Niagara Falls and it has made a appearance at a THP event as well.

We pull a 2017 29RKS (actually 32'11") Cougar Xlite 5th wheel with a 1997 Chev 3/4 ton truck with a 454ci engine. Currently we do 2 winter months in Florida. Soon to be 3. We do at least one week a month all summer and end with 2-4 week fall trip. Love it!

We’ve had a couple small trailers in the past, and didn’t use them as much as we wanted so this year we found a spot to permanently park ours at the beach. It’s been pretty great.

We ended up getting this 2005 Wilderness 29'. Going seasonal next year. Going to pick out a site today.

We had a 24 ft toyhauler that I raced out of for years. My parents picked up a very nice Sprinter based camper a year or so ago. They don't use it enough but that should change over the next couple years.

to more directly answer the question. There’s a ton of small trailers out there. I’m a huge fan of air streams, and they supposedly tow wonderfully. But they’re not budget friendly at all. Our Coleman is legitimately 1/2 tin towable, one slide and bunks. Small bathroom, like super small but it’s livable.

Pop up owner here. I recognize it isn't what the OP asked about but there are larger models which are quite comfortable and nice. Plus pop ups are a breeze to pull.

Can someone explain more about this deal where you pick a spot? I don't think we have that in my part of the country. How does that work?

We have a ton of campgrounds in Mass that are seasonal. Our camper will stay there year round. Season runs April 14th to October 15th.

Wow, that's interesting. I never knew people camped that way. Learn something new every day.

Given that info, never mind about pop-ups. If we're leaving our trailer behind for 4 months I think we want the added security of hard sided.

We have a Spree 28BHS. Lots of great camping here within a couple of hours in the mountains of British Columbia.

I posted above about our rig.
Currently we are doing two months at an RV park in Crawfordville Fl (just south of Tallahassee) called Wildwood. It's an 18 hole par 72 course. They offer 18 holes per person per day to those staying at there RV park. Just thought some of you might be interested.
