This may have been posted earlier or there has been discussions before, but I couldn't find it.

Is a "Demo" shaft the same....better....worse...than a stock shaft that you would get when ordering directly from a company, such as Callaway, TaylorMade, or Ping, to name a few.
 
Do you mean the shafts that are in fitting carts? Those would be the same shafts offered by the company so that they can fit each golfer before ordering.
 
Thanks JB, I thought that was the case but had heard in the past that the Demo shafts were hand picked to be the best of the best they had.
Another reason for asking is, I had been looking for a Ping Tour 65 in regular flex, finally found one in the Bay. I purchased and it arrived as a Demo (which was not mentioned in the listing) just wondering if it was the same, better, or worse?
 
Not to revive an old thread. We have 3 fitting carts at my course... each has 10 shafts. 23 of the 30 still have plastic on the grips. Often times they aren’t hit
