Golf shaft insert for improved accuracy

It failed to do so in the test we threw at it.
The company stopped producing it.
It did not fit in many shafts and the company would not put out a list of what shafts it didn't fit.
The company said they were keeping it from tour, because it was too good and would shift the balance of power (odd).
 
Oh yeah I remember that thing. Was supposed to prevent shaft deformation, or something like that. Actually hit some drivers that had them, this was back in like 2011ish. At the time I had no data, but I can say that I saw no noticeable improvement at all.
 
I put on in one of my drivers at the time. Made it feel like garbage. Imo it stiffened the shaft a good bit. Results were still awful just as they were before the "shot maker"
Product was all smoke and mirrors.
 
Still being produced and people seem to fall into extremes. Either you love it or hate it.
 
For the price - $159 with the tool, if it has mixed reviews, probably not worth it!
