New adicross II features a redesigned outsole for more traction and flexibility with new fashion-forward styling

Carlsbad, CA (September 11, 2012) – adidas Golf, a leader in high-performance golf footwear, today introduced its new adicross II, which is designed to combine all of the performance benefits of a traditional golf shoe with the off-course versatility and contemporary styling of a casual shoe.

adicross II features new, strategically-placed square-shaped traction lugs and updated outsole design to promote improved traction and to reduce marking on the putting surface. New “flex grooves” are positioned at the forefoot to promote superior flexibility, natural feel and solid sole-to-ground contact throughout the swing.

“The tour-proven adicross II provides superior traction and comfort in all types of weather and any course-condition a golfer can expect to encounter,” said Bill Price, Vice President of adidas Golf Footwear. “Plus, the shoe’s casual, contemporary styling and spikeless sole allow you to wear it with confidence off the course, as well.”

Infused with classic adidas styling, adicross II’s full-grain leather upper is both lightweight and durable while offering a rich look and feel. And for the first time golfers can choose between a classic lace-up and a fashion-forward Velcro-strap.

PGA Tour professional Justin Rose introduced the original adicross to the world last September 2011 when he wore them while winning the BMW Championship, and since then more than 200,000 pairs have been sold and worn by golfers all over the world. adicross II is the next generation of lightweight, spikeless , comfortable shoes that promote natural movement, both on the course and off.

adicross II will be available at retail starting on November 1, 2012. Offered in medium and wide widths . Lace-up available in three colorways: Black/Dark Silver Metallic/Dark Silver Metallic, Tan Brown/Black/Scout Metallic., Running White/ Tan Brown/Energy, at an MSRP of $90 USD. Velcro-strap available in two colorways: Running White/Black/Fashion Performance Glow and Black/Dark Silver/Fashion Performance Highlighter, at an MSRP of $80 USD.

Yes! Velcro strap golf shoes. haha that is very interesting not sure about fashion forward though

The lace ups look nice, the new color combinations are sharp.

However, the velcro, really? Who thought this was a good idea? The last adidas shoes with velcro was discounted almost immediately and are just atrocious looking. Do they come with a suction cup ball grabber for your putter as well?

Come on fellas... if fanny packs and scrunchies are back in style, why cannot velcro come back in?

Not sure about the velcro....in fact nope...don't like em. The lace up version look good though.

I'm not sure who thought having multiple colors on the sole of the shoe was a good idea. I liked the uniform colors on the sole like the first version of the Adicross and the Ecco shoes.

I have to admit I love the idea of the velcro straps, and wide widths, finally!!!

I could not do velcro but I am liking the new regular lace versions. So much good stuff coming out!

Like the ones with velcro. Think they actually look better than the first ones.

Velcro straps? Yeah not too keen on that idea. Not a too bad looking shoe though.

Seriously. Tappin'.

I actually love the Velcro strap model, lol

Edit: On second thought...nah, couldn't do it. Maybe if I am still playing when I'm 90

Yeah, not sure how "fashion forward" velcro is....but I am liking the lace ups for sure. I wonder what is so different in the traction on the sole vs the first adicross, though.

Well, I guess if you get drunk and have trouble untying the double knots then this is the answer to your problems!

I actually like A) The Look (Not of the velcro) B) That they come in wide and C) The price.

Like the lace ups for sure! Will be looking.

I like these, velcro or not. Been a while since I've liked a new shoe coming out.

Not as much a fan of these, especially the velcro ones.

Great looking shoes...especially the lace ups. The velcro ones should be a hit with the 'seniors' who have trouble with laces and want a softer feeling shoe

I will own a pair of the velrco. WILL.

I'm not afraid to admit that I really REALLY like them. Alot.

Jman I'm with you, I don't know what it is, but I really do like the look of them. I can't wait to see how they look in the other colors, but the streamlined look of the velcro covering being the same color and material of the shoes helps it blend in quite well. They are unique enough and intrigue me quite a bit.

Yep, I dig em. I love the price point too.

Hell, I teach in velcro Puma's. I'm certainly not scared of velcro.

Excellent! Perfect way to make a great shoe better! And how can one not love that price point?
