Lead tape on wedges

The new Vokey wedges coming out with 3 models with supposed 3 different centers of gravity kinda got me thinking....

Has anyone tried lead tape on the back of their wedges to kinda alter the CG? If so, did you notice a difference in peak ball flight/feel....and how many pieces of tape did you use?
 
I use lead tape on all my clubs to get the swing weights I want including the wedges. I've put significant amounts and smaller amounts and I have never noticed a change in ball flight whether it's a wedge or a wood. That's not to say there wasn't any change but it would have been too subtle for me to notice.
 
I have lead tape on all my wedges to hit a swing weight. I would think it would take a pretty substantial amount to alter CG.
