Difference between Ping Gmax and Ping G irons?

I am currently playing Ping Gmax and in the mood for some new clubs. Looks like the Ping G series is an update to the Ping Gmax. In reading reviews, I can't really see a lot of difference except perhaps a better sound in the G. Has anyone made the change from the Gmax to the G and can you tell me about your experience? Anyone see any significant differences between these two series?

I just went in for a fitting today and these were 2 of my top 3. The other was the callaway XR. I am a 16hdcp and wound up with a set of g irons. I found the gmax and g to be more similar than different. I hit the gmax about a yard longer a touch higher and a little less spin. The g seemed to have less roll out and I didn't need the extra distance. I got the g plenty far. The g also had the best feel for me. The XR felt like a perfect strike even if I hit it horrible. The gmax was in the middle. 160 7-iron, 210 4-iron, 120pw. Those are all I hit in every set.
