What a crappy morning so far. I'm grumpy.
 
Too many veterans are taking their own lives. Our country needs to do something about this. I just got some bad news, and it seems this is happening more and more.

sorry to to hear about your news. I agree and the issues with VA aren't helping. I have a family ember suffering and he gets the run around constantly. Fortunately my vet friends are doing ok.

Hopefully the new VA boss, congress and the president can do something soon. This is one of the reasons folds of honor and wwp are my two favorite orgs.
 
Went looking to replace my putter but the dude on ebay has it at $435 when I picked it up for $80 at this time last year and I'm not seeing anything that really gets me excited.

Something that doesn't nearly get the press it deserves. Our country doesn't do the best job taking care of the folks once they're home. Too many people slipping through the cracks.

Though mental health issues are so hard to treat, so I'm not sure what the course of action is. Research dollars at first, I guess.
 
Recieved a letter that my rent will be going up $75 a month beginning of the year. It's only 75$ but on top of an already super high price. I guess it time to search for another place

yuck! I've heard that rent costs are ridiculous in Vancouver.

That sucks.
I've thought about raising the rent on my tenants but have managed to not do it for the last handful of years. Hydro, Gas, and Water just keep getting more expensive so most landlords don't have much choice.

My rent is almost as much or more then the average mortgage. But I am half a block of the cities major street

I am even thinking of leaving the downtown area. Hard part is my both jobs are there
 
I decided to work from home this week. My in laws have to be the loudest group of people to ever exist.
If my union flag waving FIL makes one more comment about me working, there might just be "misunderstanding" in my living room.

Not a rant, but rather a request. My Dad has been doing ok since his stroke last year but this last week has been rough. He has two Aneurysms one on the aorta and one above his stomach which makes him throw up if he eats certain foods or too much which really isnt that much for him. He also has pneumonia, a disease which causes poor blood flow to his organs, kidneys are shutting down, and enlarged prostate. He has been to the hospital and seen a specialist who is devising a plan of attack to take care of the issues. It looks like we will be spending some time in the hospital over the holidays which is fine as long as he gets better. If you guys could send up a prayer for my Dad and family I would greatly appreciate it. I hope everyone else has a fantastic Thanksgiving and Ricky Im pulling for you and yours and hoping you guys get her the help she needs and that she enjoys a speedy recovery.

i work from home most days and glad i don't have to deal with anyone in the house. my in laws only stay with us on the weekends right now and that is tough to handle every weekend. not sure i could handle them during the week too.

Protestors who looked at statistics with a biased view and ignore other data. Saw an interview with some UCSD students talking about black person is killed every 28 hours by a cop, security guard or vigilante including Mike Brown. Ignoring any evidence in Mike Brown case or his actions and any actions of others killed in these quoted incidents. Then ignoring the out of control black on black crime across the country.

none of that is considered racist by anyone in the media or politics. Statistics are something that can be manipulated however someone wants and how they choose to use them, but when compared with unbiased eyes usually tell a pretty good story. I was watching one of the news channels a few months back when the knockout game was huge and all over every news cycle, one of the anchors had mentioned that there is more black on black and black on white crime than white on black.

There are bad apples in all aspects of society as well as bad cops(more good one though) and the PC crowd irks me when they ignore anything that doesn't meet the agenda of dividing this country through race, class, religous beliefs and put the blame solely on one part of society and skew numbers to meet that agenda

Lol...I've managed to stay away from that place.
However I am coming April 30th and may 1st.
