Driver Shaft that never worked for You

Is there a particulate shaft that never seemed to work even thought you kept trying it

For me it was the Phenom

Anything Aldila
I struggle with Fujis
MRC never seems to work
Matrix was always a problem
UST was troublesome
Couldn't get along with GDI
Nun chuck, Oban, Miyazaki didn't help either.


Somehow the PX and Grafalloy stuff always seemed great.
 
DB, you're my hero.

Biased much Don? lol

Whatever shaft came stock in the 07 Burner 460 driver. Worst shaft I've used. I swapped it out with a Tour Spec Fujikura Speeder 569 and it was so much nicer.

Some might say, it was a *hzrdus* question.
 
Anything counterbalanced, I've tried a few and they all just feel awful when swinging them IMO.

How do you get along with Accra?

I can't remember a shaft that I just couldn't hit. Most shafts were to soft back in my super quick transition days. Many shafts are too low launching now, but I can still play them with less than great results.

Good thing you know some people at PX and Graffaloy! Hahaha

For me I did not like any of the black tie series. The previous m3 and the new 0m4

Haha. I loved the 6m3 and the 7m3 I played. Golf is a funny game.

I am envious that you have experience with that many shafts. And it sounds like you know what you like. That's huge.

For those that do not know, that is DB stands for Don Brown. Check the 2016 Live Update thread for the HandCrafted Experience.
 
For me it is almost anything with a stiff tip section!
 
Any of the stock shafts that come with OEM drivers :alien:
 
Any of the speeder shafts. Just couldn't put a predictable outcome on them.
 
all made for shafts. they're garbage. I kid, I kid

I struggled with both AXE shafts I tried

I never liked the feel of the red tie

I HATE fubuki

I couldn't hit the pro force v2

kbs and I aren't friends

I couldn't get along with the HZRDUS black. I wanted to so bad but it just wasn't for me.

No worries, it didn't actually work for me either.














I was hitting it way too far and straight.
 
As much as it kills me to say it, Oban Hashimoto. But as I post this I'm curious how it would work now that I'm driving the ball better than I have in years

Same here in the driver but I love it in my hybrid. Tried it in multiple drivers and multiple flexes on the course over several rounds and could never get it right.


The other is the Black Tie did not get along with that shaft at all in the driver although again I had good success with the hybrid shaft.
