Has anyone seen the new Titleist 716 AP1's, Ap1 forged or Ap2's? If so please post some pics and specs here.

Unless the embargo is up you wont see pics on here.

Nope, but once embargo dates pass, you can bet THP will have all the details and pics.

If you look back at the 710, 712, & 714 releases, I bet the 716s look identical .

Pics of the 714 irons were shown by the 27th of June 2013. Titleist seem to be running a little late.

Nah, release dates change, not a biggie. We will see them soon enough I would venture.

And I, for one, am also curious to see them.

I'm curious as to how the new ap1 forged and ap2 will blend as a mixed set.

How do you know definitively that there is going to be an AP1 forged released worldwide? They've been Asia only.

Oh I do not know definitively. Its under the assumption that the insider leaks from what I've read over the net are correct. They might all be rumors but I hope not. Some have said they 'heard' it would be called the Ap1.4. I imagine Titleist have used Korea as a testing ground for demand. Personally I see their introduction in Europe and the US as a move in the right direction for Titleist.

I may be odd, but a forged offering seems unnecessary. On top of that, I'm not sure the AP1 crowd really cares about manufacturing processes.

Although you might hit the crowd that only wants to play forged but would really benefit from something like the AP1.

I don't think that crowd is that big, honestly. I may be very wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

Nope I agree. And that's probably why they haven't done them here.

I think its the profile of the korean ap1 forged I like rather than the manufacturing method. I like the fact that there is less offset while still offering a generously sized head.

I have seen some pics of the 716MBs. If you search the Internet a bit you can see a few of them.

Here are some pics of the 716 t-mb

These are Japan only release for now. The name suggests MB but the profile is more like ap2. These have very minimal offset, a hollow body forged design with tungsten toe and heel weights. Took a few swings at a monitor and they have very good toe forgiveness. Low on the face seems to be the most penal from the limited strikes I had today.

Believe Jimmy Walker is playing the 716 MB's, isn't he? Or else he did for at least 1 tournament this year recently from what I remember.

He has been. Thus far, the only tour player I'm aware of.

IF the AP1's Forged make it to our shores, don't expect them to be readily available or cheap.

I've heard that it will be available through the MOTO program.

I suspect that it'll be generally released in Asia as before, but anyone else that wants a set can get them, but be prepared to pay for them. Probably the only way one would actually get to see in person and hit them would be through an appointment with the tour van, if fortunate enough to get a visit between tour stops.

I wouldnt be so quick to assume they will be forged just because they are forged in Asia. The Asian market is very different, everything is forged for the most part. I fully expect they will be similar to the previous AP1, with some minor tweaks to the weighting. I could see them maybe doing a forged face but Id be very surprised if the entire clubhead were forged.

Apparently the ap1 forged and a new 716u set will only be available through moto.

Ok guys all the pics of the 716 line can be found on the USGA club database site. What do you think of them?
