Fairways in Regulation
Greens in Regulation
Putts Per Round

Give us your take on what order these three things work with in your golf game.
 
Putts per Round (not sure what an average is here on THP but Id think id be close)
GIR (hitting more this year than ever before, still not great, but its better)
Fairways (I suck)
 
putts - greens - fairways for me
 
1) Putts Per Round

2) GIR

3) FIR
 
This varies so much for me but my guess over the summer would be:
FW in Reg
Greens in Reg
Putts per round

That said, the last round I played I only hit a couple of Fairways
 
Putts
Gir
and a very distant 3rd FIR
 
1. Putting
2. FIR
3. GIR

I am very happy with my putting. GIR and FIR are fairly close but both need some work. I can get my FIR up using a 3 wood off the tee but really need to get my driver going if I am going to get to single digits.

If I could improve that GIR, I think I would be dangerous ! :bulgy-eyes:

This is based on my last 50 rounds from US Handicap.

This year:

Fairways

GIR

I wish I could put the last one first.
 
Putts per Round (I average in the low 30s)
Fairways (Close to 50% maybe a little under)
GIR (hahaha horrible 20% probably)
 
Fairways in regulation - I do that pretty well
Putting - I usually have pretty decent distance control, unless I'm completely off. Usually happens when going from fast to slow greens or vise versa
GIR - Should be better, but I like going at tucked pins.
 
According to my stats for the season it is:

Putts Per Round (32.7)
Greens in Regulation (28.7%)
Fairways in Regulation (23.8%)

In reality, my tee game is better than that number because my misses are usually playable.
 
For me its

Putts Per Round
Fairways in Regulation
and then Greens In Regulation
 
I will say:
Putts Per Round - directly related to the GIR though. Luckily my short game is decent.
Greens in Regulation - directly related to my terrible FIR.
Fairways in Regulation - Pretty much a debacle lately.
 
Don't keep track of any stats besides score but if I were to guess based on recent play it would be:

Fairways
Putts
Greens

Funny thing is that fairways would have been dead last two months ago until I took a half inch off the driver and gained a lot of control.
 
FWY - my most consistent Stat.
Putts per round - average between 32-34
GIR -average about 33%

FIR - 35.5
GIR 23.3

Putts are trending up along with GIR. FIR has been higher.
 
Wow... Mine are bad. I hope the new RTX 3 helps my short game!

FIR (46%)
Putts (39.6)
GIR (7%)
 
1.) Putts - 35 per round
2.) Green in regulation - 29%
3.) Hitting the fairway - 56%

Putts, FIR, GIR for me...Pending if I stick with the 4W off the tee or switch back to the driver

Not really sure how I can rank with putts butI am usually around the 38-40 mark for 18 holes.

I think FIR and GIR go hand in hand for my game. Get me on the green and I'd say 9/10 I can two putt for par.
