Anyone change the weight or weights in their putter?

I have my eye on the Scotty cameron m2, put think that I would like it slightly heavier but didn't know if that would effect balance or anything? Wondering if anyone else has done it? Also, are the aftermarket weights sufficient? I can't bring myself to spend 170 dollars on putter weights?

I change them up for distance control.
 
I have changed them a couple times
 
I just use high density lead tape or tungsten square to add weight if needed to get the feel to my liking.
 
Yep - I use heavier weight for faster greens.

I have adjusted weights w Cure and w SeeMore putters over the last year.
 
I bought 20gram aftermarket weights for my Scotty on Amazon. They fit perfectly, and I like the heavier feel. Had 15gram weights in before, on 34" long Monterey.
