Unique (Brand) Golf Clubs

A buddy of mine carries a set of older golf clubs and they have the brand imprint of "Unique." I have never seen this brand before - just curious if anybody has heard of it or knows anything about it. Thanks!
 
Does it say Unique of California?
I remember a set of persimmon woods that I saw with this branding.
 
Here are a couple of images. I have done a little looking around and found the same clubs on eBay but cannot find anything as far as a manufacturer, etc. Just trying to find out more. He actually got a hole in one with these on Saturday, first one I've seen

I dont think you will find much on the brand. Those appear to be old King Cobra OS clones.
