So I've been wanting to clean my swing up for about a year now, but have put it off due to not wanting to put in the range time needed. This spring though I am committed to putting in the overdue work and getting my swing to where I want it to be.

Many of my swing issues have to do with my backswing. I tend to take it back too far inside and get way past the line at the top. This swing relies too much on timing, so when I'm playing a lot and my timing is on I can hit a lot of good shots but if the timing is off it can get pretty ugly. My goal is to become much more consistent and to eliminate the big miss.

Here is my swing from 1 week ago.

Sorry the angle is not very good

Went back to the range today with the focus just being on staying short and keeping the right elbow in tighter.

Here is today's video.

Still need a lot of work especially on my posture with an iron and I'm still getting too far from the inside but I feel like there is definitely progress there.

I'm creating this thread as a place to records progress and to keep me motivated to continue putting in the work necessary. Thanks to everyone here for reading and all opinions are greatly appreciated!

Edit: sorry videos are being weird.

You need to see Mr. Tadashi!!!

I think you may be over analyzing your swing and assumed swing flaws. If you're dedicated to getting better, I'd groove the swing you have. The adjustments you'd have to make would set you back. If you work on your current swing, it will become natural and less timing.
