Congrats to the Warriors!

Odds to win the NBA Title in 2016:

Cavs 9-4
Warriors 5-1
Thunder 5-1
Clippers 10-1
Spurs 12-1
Bulls 12-1
Hawks 20-1
76ers, Magic, T-Wolves and Hornets all bring up the rear at 200-1

Already looking to next year. Disappointing way to end the season, but I think the Cavs accomplished a lot considering the injuries they suffered this year.

Season ended last night. Nothing left to talk about with that season. Am I content with making it to the finals? Hell no. I want a title. So yes I am looking to next year

How you don't give it to Lebron is a bit confusing, especially considering how everyone talked about Lebron for basically the entire finals.

Silly.

Because somehow we have gotten to the point where you can't be valuable unless you win. Ridiculous in my POV.

Surprised Andre was named MVP, but thinking about it more, whenever GS needed a bucket or a big play, he seemed to be there when the Splash Bros. were struggling.

Putting on the flame suit here, but Iguodala definitely deserved the MVP. LeBron was a playmaker all series, and was the best player, but a lot of his numbers were a product of usage (a la Westbrook). Not saying that is a bad thing as he was basically the only playmaker on his team, but I don't think you can praise his 35.8 ppg at all. The guy shot under 40% for the series and took nearly 33 shots per game. His assist numbers were up due to usage and being the point guard for the team (rest of the team not named Kyrie Irving averaged 6 ast per game). GS made him work all series.

Meanwhile, Iggy put up a net rating of +17, which was far and away the best net rating in the series. He made LeBron work for his point, which is all you can do against LeBron. If Iggy was told that Lebron is going to score 36 per game on 33 shots per game in the series, he would have taken that all day. Iggy also shot very well from the field (52%), albeit he was abysmal from the line. If the series would have went 7 games, I think it could have been justified to give it to LeBron, but not for just 6 games. Also, not trying to take anything away from LeBron as he mostly gave his all this series, and played really well, but there is more to numbers than just pts, asts, and rebs.

I agree. Iguodala outplayed Lebron when it mattered in my mind. Once they put him in the starting lineup it changed the series. He seemed to make the big shot or make the big stop when they needed it.

Good post. Watching Iggy, he was the only guy having success on Lebron one on one. Every time GS tried Barnes or Barbosa or Lee on Lebron he just abused them. And like it or not, the MVP is never going to come from the losing team, and Curry did not deserve it based on his mediocre play outside of a few hot steaks. I think it was the right choice.

Better convo today: Which Cleveland team Lebron took to the finals was worse, 2007 or 2015?

2015 there was no delonte he was amazing .

Plus shumpert and smith have to be the two heaviest people ever .

Without Irving this team was definitely worse.

If we take LeBron out of the equation, I'd lean towards this year. If you include LeBron's abilities, I think he is miles better in 2015 than 2007, making 2007 the lesser team.

Might have to put money on Spurs before the big Gasol trade happens. Want to get the best odds you know... hah!

No doubt. Grizz at 30-1 is a good bet assuming they keep the squad together, but nothing else jump out. I wouldn't touch a team in the East simply because the odds aren't good enough on the Cavs and no other team is worth the bet, except maybe Indy or Milwaukee (in hopes that Giannis make a huuuge jump next year).

Maybe it is just me but it seemed strange listening to Mark Jackson, who was the Warriors coach talk about what Steve Kerr, the current coach should do.Kinda of like "If I WAS THE COACH".... Dude You Were!

I don't understand how Lebron James with these stats:

Doesn't win, I heard a few things about Iguodala's defense, then how did Lebron get those kind of numbers!

This quote from a WP article sums it up nice:
Iguodala finished the series with averages of 16.3 points, four assists and 5.8 rebounds, shooting 52.1 percent from the field. However, he wasn’t the most valuable player on his own team or in any one game, let alone the entire series.

I didn't realize this: (From a CBS article)
This makes two consecutive Finals in which LeBron James' primary defender has won MVP (Kawhi Leonard in 2014). What that says about James, and about our perception of him, speaks volumes.

All in all I think Lebron James is an unhuman player, he's got freakish skill.

On a different note, how did Curry not get a single vote!?!?!:bad:

Steph has a lot of game on the course also. He was in contention in Tahoe two years ago for a while, or last year...? I forgot which

1) Iguodala didn't guard him on every possession
2) Iguodala when he did guard him held him to 38% FG
3) Lebron scored all those points on volume, he took a ton of shots almost every game.

Steph has a lot of game on the course also. He was in contention in Tahoe two years ago for a while, or last year...? I forgot which

This makes me like him even more. He is also a HUGE Carolina Panthers fan which was the main reason I started to follow him.
