I'm in Scottsdale til Friday with nothing to do. The wife has restricted my golf spending a bit, but I brought my clubs anyway.

You are close to Gainey Ranch - 3 nine's that are more parkland then desert golf. ClubCorp owns it but think you can get in through the adjoining hotel. You are also really close to Talking Stick (using McCormick as you point of departure). Can't go wrong with the North or South.

I looked into Talking Stick but couldn't find anything suitable to my schedule this morning. I definitely couldn't find any public tee time info on the Gainey Ranch site, but I will have to look into the hotel
