You guys are way to literal. It is a joke.
They were giving them away to the first 100 that called and otherwise it was just a commercial for their new burgers.

I didn't actually watch the video, but I'd say it's a sad statement on our society that we thought it might be a real thing (or a sad statement on our gullibility).
 
Thank goodness, I was confused to say the least!
 
I was hoping the "But wait, there's more...." was a Froon to scoop sweet and sour sauce from the packets with fries...
 
I thought it was funny, and sign me up for a frork.

I thought it was funny. A little more BK's style, but outside of the box advertising for McD's.
