Valhalla - Pictures and Playing Experience

If I could do it over again, I'd get a caddie for the greens alone. They are very very deceptive the first time out.

I remain +2 through 12.

about to head in to a great stretch of pretty holes. 13-15

13 is a relatively easy tee shot that sets up a terrifying approach. I hit a 4 iron and had about 114 left. Spun back a wedge and have about 15 feet for bird. Fantastic hole.

Absolutely stunning.
Thanks for the live feed.....

Wow! Looks amazing. Thanks for bringing us along.

How in the heck did you manage this ? I'm so jealous , was there for the PGA last August but just watching was amazing to be there.

Another lipped birdie putt hahaha

A very difficult par 3 follows. We only had 160 but there is trouble EVERYWHERE including the green.

Keep it up Dan. Really enjoying following along.

What a crazy beautiful course, and TOUGH. Dan, it looks like shots walk a fine line between excellent looks for birdie and wheels coming off here comes a big number. Is that a fair assumption?

Hit the top of the ridge and fell back down. Divot is left in the photo and My ball isn't even pictured it rolled back so far. Ended up 3 putting for bogey. +3 now.

This has been a great walk with you Dan. Thanks so much for taking the time and attention away from your game to post the pics and commentary. The water features on the course look treacherous and beautiful.

Just catching up on this now - what a great thread.

Had this look at the green and failed to make magic. Then stuck a wedge to 15 feet and lipped the par. +4 heading to 17.

17. Intimidating uphill and I'm left in the bunker off the tee. Thanks for the work call, coworker (gotta blame someone!)!!! Hahahaha

I believe that is the Rickie Fowler route.

Here's my bunker lie post shot haha! Managed to get it pin high on the green but got duped by another read. Unreal. To +5 I go with one to play.

Bad move on my part trying to attempt to catch up on this thread while on a conference call. Have no idea what they are talking.

Gorgeous pictures and keep up the great playing Dan!!

Finish strong Dan...Hero time!

Birdie or eagle on 18. Let's see it.

I wish I could say I finished strong. Another bogey to finish. I actually hit the approach I wanted to, however there is a nasty tier change in the middle of the green that I never saw coming. Turned 6 feet into 40.

It doesn't matter though. This isn't the course to score on first time out, and I am genuinely pleased with my ball striking overall. What a wonderful course.
