Anyone have any pros and cons of switching to slant neck from a face balanced putter and why you might change? I have a Spider Limted and thinking of upgrading to a Spider Tour.

For me, I found face balanced was more critical than shaft configuration. For a long time, I thought I needed a center-shafted putter, but I have been testing an Odyssey that is face balanced but heel-shafted, and I have been getting excellent results.

In my case, that is because I am much more of a straight back straight through (SBST) putter.

The best putter for you is the one that allows you to start the ball on your intended line. The characteristic your are asking about deals with rotation and how much the putter will rotate during the stroke. People associate face balanced putters with a SBST or minimal arc stroke because they don't rotate a lot.

Overall there isn't a pro or con unless it helps or hurts your stroke and your ability to start the ball on your intended line.
