I was recently invited to play in an event that is in tow weeks. I was told it was a scramble. I asked if it was best ball, or best individual hole. I was told it is really a shamble; best ball drive and everyone plays their own ball from second shot on.

Never heard of such a thing. Very strange. What do you do on Par 3s?

Same thing, you both tee off then pick one then putt out.

Love shambles

Shambles are great. Scrambles not as much fun IMO and take forever to play.

Shambles are great fun!

I've always liked Best Ball scrambles; multiple pokes at each shot is a good time.

Shamble sounds pretty cool too. Now I am excited to play it!

We played shamble in our league a lot last year.

And just like Ohiogolfer said, hit your tee shot and hopefully pick the one closest to the hole and all putt their own ball.

Most THP events I've been to have been shambles. It's a fun format.

Shambles rock. And it really changes the pressure (both good and bad) for the second player after the first tees off.

I hadn't played in a shamble until a THP event. Really like shambles much more than a scramble.
