Apex V XR irons

Posting this up to see what the general consensus is.
I bought a 2nd hand set of Apex irons. They are in decent condition and got them at a good price, so I couldn't pass them by. I am playing a standard set of XR irons.
My question is which would be the better set of irons. Just started playing again after an annoying shoulder impingement which put me out of the game for nearly a year.
I hope hit the range tomorrow to compare the two sets.
