Let go boys, tighten up the game.. Bogeys & double are no bueno for match play.
 
Same on 3. My 4 footer for par lips and he doubles.

Still 1 up. 350 par 4 upcoming.
 
I parred the 4th to go 2 up.
 
I bogey the 5th and Dave makes a good 10 footer to halve the hole. Still 2 up.
 
I par and he bogies the 194y par 3 6th.

Remain 2 up.
 
We both bogey the par 5 7th. Back to 1 up.
 
Approach on 1. Pulled it but should have a short chip

Playing lake Padden with skibum. My drive sprays left to the trees but I am able to advance it out at least. Ski is a little right but playable.

Thinned my apprach. Doh
 
I bogey the 8th and go back to 2 up.
 
I am on in 5 three putt for an 8. Not the start I wanted. Ski jams one home to save bogey after finding the trees on the way to the green.
 
Bogey on the first, but should have been worse as I had to jar a long putt to get it lol

Ski with 3w off the tee on 11, little hook but not bad. My drive is left again.
 
I punch out and hit 6i to about 150, skis 2nd is center fairway about 160 out. Par 5 here.
 
I par the 9th to win the hole and make turn at 3 up.

40 on the front for me.
 
Nice front 9... Dave time to dig deep and get a couple back! One hole at s time dude
 
Skis approach is 2 feet off, he chips to 3 feet. I am on. I miss the 15 footer for Par and am left with 2 foot for bogey. Ski with par, I bogey.
 
1 putt par on the par 5 2nd (11th actually)

Winning holes with bogeys and giving up strokes. Those big number holes will creep in on the higher handicapper.
Best approach is to focus on strengths.

Winning these holes by a stroke, by pocket/concession? Sounds like Dave was really hanging tough and has hit a bit of a rough patch? Im rooting for the guy to turn it around.
 
Bogeys for both of us on the par 3. Par 5 519 yards next.

e both take hybrid off the tee. I am in the trees (see a trend here), ski center fairway. Skis 2nd to about 150. I punch out and put 4h to about 110.
 
Another 2 putt bogey for me. 5 up through 11.
