2012 brought out a few special ones.

So after suspending the officials and admitting they were wrong, the conference later in the day awarded Corn Elder "ACC Specialist of the Week". Yes he's the guy who ran the kick back for the winning touchdown.

First playoff rankings out tomorrow. What's everyone's projection?

I'll say
1. Clemson
2. LSU
3. Baylor
4. OSU

Those 4 and could be any order IMO.

I have no idea what order they decide to put them in, but I think those top 4 teams are pretty locked for the first ranking. Not sure how you put anyone but those 4 in right now.

I'd say TCU over Baylor.

If either of them is.

Saw that yesterday, those are funny esp. Texas people about Colt. "Colt is the best QB on the Redskins".

Where there is smoke there is fire. Rumor is Strong (his peeps) has put out feelers to Miami. I can't believe I am saying this but I think he is going to leave the cluster F that is Austin. Maybe not this week but when West Virginia, possibly Tech and for sure Baylor hangs 50+ on them these last few weeks I think he leaves or is asked to leave. Would have never thought any of this at the beginning of the year. Crazy college football.

1. lsu
2. clemson
3. tosu
4. baylor

i think lsu's signature win over florida is better than clemson's signature win over notre dame. although the other side of that argument is that notre dame is currently ranked higher than florida, so i guess i'd be fine if those spots were reversed. i've said before that i thought tcu belonged in the top 4 over baylor, but baylor's wins over the same schools tcu has beaten are by wider margins and with more points, so i think baylor belongs there now. november will be a lot of fun.

I think TCU gets in over Baylor right now.

Baylor just lost their starting QB, that's big and the committee will look at that.

Plus TCU has a slightly better non con. Still not good, but slightly better.

That's if either gets in, frankly Iowa has been more impressive with better wins then either, and MSU is still unbeaten.

The cool thing is, is that all top 4 teams control their own destiny. They can all win out and all make it in, or they could realistically all lose and we could have a completely different final 4. Going to be a fun end to the season. There are a lot of teams left that could win out and still make it in that aren't in that top 4 right now.

LSU is the only team to have two wins against top 25 teams, so they might get the nod over Clemson who has only the win against ND.

things will get REAL interesting when Bama beats LSU

Eh the big 12 schools really don't

Not having a conference championship game could hurt them.

Small chance. Very small with the Pac 12 not having an undefeated team.

But if a 1 losd Stamford and 1 Loss Utah go to the Pac 12 championship, and one big 10 school, lsu, and Clemson go undefeated, the Pac12 champ may get the nod.

They'll have one more game, and not only that one more game against a team that should be top 10.

If Baylor wins out, with having to beat 2 top 15 teams and a top 5 team to do so, and still doesn't make it in...then the Big 12 should just dissolve as a conference.

These rankings are interesting but not worth a hill of beans at the moment. Too much left to be played for. Will be interesting to see what teams cave under the added pressure though, as all four will have an additional bullseye painted on their back. As for the Big 12 having no chance ... I bet four Big XII teams are ranked in the top 15 of this new ranking, and they're all either undefeated (Baylor, TCU, OSWho) or sitting with one loss (Oklahoma). If one team runs that gauntlet, they'll have three quality wins ... all coming at the end of the season ... all against quality opponents. What won't be pretty is if they divy up the wins and losses amongst each other and leave a cluster-fudge that makes it hard to crown "One True Champion". In which case [homer], they should pick Oklahoma.[/homer]

Who is the 16th ranked team tonight? They'll probably come all the way up and win it.
