Excellent show! SOme things really stood out to me from that. GolfTEC needs to find their way to Western NC, that would be great! I really like their approach and philosophy. I think quite a few THP’ers could benefit from listening to this show.
Thanks to Jim from GolfTEC for being on the show! I had no idea they had local affiliations so that outdoor lessons were available, that is definitely good to know and is what I would prefer.
It was really good to hear about how GolfTEC approaches lessons and what the student can expect / be expected to do in order to see maximum gain. Good dialogue around being willing to step a step back so that you can take 3 steps forward, that is definitely tough to go through as all we want to do is progress forward.
What a good time for this radio show. Did you plan this lol?
Honestly, so much of what you guys talked about makes sense to me. Practicing indoors on mechanics has been much better for me for a few reasons. I’m not as ‘results’ focused in that all I think about is whether or not I’m hitting a rotten shot in front of a lot of people. What I’ve had to do is take that free-feeling attitude outside, which is a challenge, but I do think it’s coming along.
Practicing letting go and trusting what I’ve learned (in lessons) while on the course really does make sense to me. I’ve found so much more success lately by just trusting that I’ve learned how to swing and need to just let it rip.
This was a great listen and I think it could help a lot of people out there.
Another insightful and educational show. Thank you JB and JIm.
I listened to this show again last night after hearing about the August GolfTec sale. Will be calling them today.
That was great! As someone who’s struggled with going through a swing change and finally starting to feel comfortable with the new swing it was awesome to hear that it’s normal to revert and just play through the pain because you’ll get to where you need to be with trust and practice.
I read this post completely concerning the resemblance of most recent and preceding technologies, it’s awesome article.
