Last year we had the opportunity to test nearly the entire Graphite Design Tour AD line of shafts. We featured a video breaking down the specs of each shaft and then tested them all in the THP Tech Studio showing the data. Since that time, we have had a ton of requests for other Graphite Design models and today jump into the hitting bay for the Tour AD DI Hybrid shaft.
In this episode of Tested! we go over some basics on the shaft, hop into tech studio and hit some balls. You see the swings and ball flight as we go over each shot and then head over to table view and breakdown the data.
The Graphite Design Tour AD DI hybrid shaft is all about control. Available in weight from 75g to 105g, the design is based around control and workability, but like all Tour AD DI, it is all about performance. The Butt Section of the shaft is considered Soft, the mid section brings Medium+ and the tip section is Stiff.
The goals here are the same as all Graphite Design Tour AD products. Accuracy and Distance and the DI stands for Deep Impact. So did it deliver? Watch the video above and let us know your thoughts. Could this be the right hybrid shaft for your game?
Cost will run about $290 MSRP and it is available now. For more information on the Tour AD DI Hybrid, check out the Pros Choice Golf Shafts website here.
Also that pairing seems like a controlled, workable machine.
Couple questions. Do you play a similar utility? Any comparisons to that for you on feel and performance?
I play this exact same utility, yes.
awww I heart you too, man!
Great work as always @Canadan
Was that the older graphics? Same shaft though, as it did get some new aesthetics.
JB yes mine does not say hybrid specific I believe. Little different graphics. But great shaft. After using I am now a firm believer that shaft does make a difference in the feel of a club.
Yep, older graphics it is the same shaft/hybrid combo from 2014.
I actually prefer the refreshed graphics
Im not sure as it is pretty unique in terms of feel.
With that said, there are a lot of options that will accomplish the same goals.
I am enjoying the UST Mamiya LINQ Hybrid currently.
