Collaborations can be fun, and this one certainly falls into the unexpected category. Today, Honma and Malbon have teamed up for an exciting and luxurious release that captures the spirit of both heritage and hype.
At first glance, it’s hard to see how these two complement each other. Honma is a Japanese brand known for its luxurious golf equipment and exceptional craftsmanship, while Malbon is a lifestyle golf brand focused on blending on and off-course apparel. Malbon’s designs target a younger audience, encouraging them to engage with the game of golf.
Honma produces numerous high-end golf product lines aimed at consumers with significant discretionary income, whereas Malbon collaborates with various brands to enhance the sport’s appeal and cool factor. Their website features partnerships with brands like Curb Your Enthusiasm, the New York Knicks, and Coca-Cola, among others.
The connection between the two brands is rooted in history and culture. Honma draws on a rich design heritage from its Takumi craftsmen, while Malbon embodies the creative energy and spirit of West Coast culture. Together, they are creating a product line that combines their philosophies for the new generation of golfers.
“Honma Golf is proud to introduce this collaborative collection with Malbon Golf, an influential brand that continues to bring fresh energy and authenticity to the game. This creative, style and performance-driven collection reflects the shared vision of two culturally iconic brands — combining Honma’s revered craftsmanship with Malbon’s modern, fashion-forward bravado.” – Liu Jianguo, Chairman of the Board, President, and Executive Director of HONMA Golf.
The Performance Collection

Appropriately named the PERFORMANCE Collection, this lineup is tailored for players looking for a complete golf bag that delivers power and precision. Golfers will recognize the Malbon influence in these clubs by the prominent use of Midori green, complemented by the golden accents that have become a hallmark of Honma.

Unlike the driver in the PREMIUM Collection, this model fully utilizes Honma’s non-rotating adjustable hosel, allowing golfers to adjust the loft, lie, and face angle without detaching or changing the shaft orientation. This driver features a carbon crown, which helps redistribute weight, and incorporates technologies such as the upper L-Cup face, booster slot, and radial face to ensure consistent launch and ball speeds.

Meanwhile, the fairway woods and utility benefit from a multi-material design that combines a carbon crown, stainless-steel sole, and titanium frame. This design achieves an optimal balance of distance and forgiveness.
With the PERFORMANCE Collection irons, Honma utilizes an L-Cup face to enhance initial velocity through a generously sized sweet spot. The inclusion of tungsten weights helps manipulate the center of gravity, resulting in higher launch angles and more stability. A combination of resin bars and a 3D cavity emblem effectively absorbs vibrations, delivering a powerful, satisfying feel. Aside from the cavity badging, the chassis bears a strong resemblance to Honma’s Beres Nx Triple Star irons, which is one of the most enjoyable iron sets I have personally tested.

As for the putter, the PERFORMANCE collection features a CNC-milled mallet shape with a prominent green alignment aid, helping golfers ensure the ball starts on their intended line. The sole features an aluminum soleplate and two adjustable weights to enhance forgiveness and feel. Additionally, Honma employs a new double-milled face pattern to provide a consistent roll.
MSRP: $5,800 for a 14-piece set
Set Makeup: Driver(9° or 10.5°), 3W, 5W, U4, 5-11, AW, SW, Putter
The Premium Collection
Honma might have a better understanding of the premium golf space than any other brand, and they proudly demonstrate this with their PREMIUM Collection. Within their Beres lineup, they have developed a star-grading system that indicates the quality of each piece of equipment. The PREMIUM Collection can be compared to their 4-Star Beres line, featuring even more gold plating throughout the bag and exquisite detailing that comes from hand polishing. Without a doubt, the PREMIUM line is the set that golfers take pride in owning and showcasing to their friends on the course.

Honma has integrated several of its signature technologies into its drivers and metalwoods. Key features include a carbon sole and a PBDB weight, which lower the center of gravity, resulting in higher launch angles and a stable ball flight. The clubs also feature a Quad Bridge Power Face combined with a high-strength HMT Face Material, enabling faster ball speeds regardless of where the ball makes contact. In the fairway metals and utility, a strategically placed 14-gram weight in the back heel promotes a draw bias. These metalwoods not only have an impressive appearance but are also engineered for high-end performance.

For the irons, Honma has included a vibration-absorbing mid-layer to help produce an overall refined feel. They have redesigned the L-Cup face, making it wider to increase the rebound zone. What many will notice right away is the polished emblem in the cavity, which will draw a lot of attention in the bag.

It should come as no surprise that the PREMIUM line focuses heavily on status and aesthetics. As a result, this collection has replaced the mallet putter with a CNC-machined blade-style putter featuring Honma’s refined double-milled face and two adjustable sole weights. Everything about this putter exudes luxury.
While the bags and accessories in the PERFORMANCE Collection have a more youthful style, the PREMIUM line seeks to blend Malbon’s playfulness with Honma’s luxury and sophistication.

Honma Malbon Collaboration Accessories

In addition to the equipment, this collaboration includes a variety of accessories, all showcasing a fresh new logo. Honma has typically featured a mole logo, while Malbon uses their ‘Buckets’ golf ball character. To highlight how these two brands, with their different legacies, can unite as one, they have designed a new logo that perfectly represents their partnership. Those interested in adding any piece from the Honma x Malbon collection can do so in November from either honmagolf.com or malbongolf.com.

$20k for a 14-piece set… just a bit out of my price range.

I’ve spent well over $20K on clubs, but in very, very small increments. :ROFLMAO:

Oh and that Malbon and Honma are ******* high, pricing a set of clubs at 20K.
[/QUOTE]
Honma sells a line of their regular clubs that cost a lot more than that.

sure do. Honma, these are just 4 star. 5 star are the ultimate social status golf clubs.
I will never forget the conversation I had with a golfer in one of my leagues a few years ago. He told me he was annoyed that PXG clubs had gotten affordable. He was a member at a private club where a lot of the membership started to buy PXG because they felt they were exclusive. Once the cheaper lines came out the members started to ditch the clubs because some chump at the muni had the same brand as them. My flabbers were ghasted.
Some people want the exclusivity. Some people want the fashion brands on everything. They are willing to pay for it. Hell you can get a fricken Louis Vuitton dog house for crying out loud.
