Arguably, the hottest trend in golf over the past couple of years has been the rapid growth of the zero-torque putter market. What was once a niche product has become increasingly mainstream. PXG is well-acquainted with the zero-torque segment, and with today’s announcement, they are expanding their offerings by introducing the new PXG One & Done ZT putter.
While PXG may not be the first brand that comes to mind when discussing zero-torque putters, they have developed a significant range of options. Their lineup includes everything from the blade-style Hellcat ZT to more forgiving mallets like the Hot Rod ZT and Allan ZT. With the introduction of the One & Done ZT, PXG continues to enhance its already extensive range of zero-torque options.
With a super-high MOI mallet already featured in the Hot Rod ZT putter, the new One & Done ZT is designed to provide golfers with better alignment. It’s easy to look at this shape and think of several other putter heads on the market that share a similar silhouette. However, it’s worth noting that PXG already has a One & Done model in their lineup as part of the Battle Ready II series. In this model, some of the flange has been removed to redistribute extra weight to the perimeter. This design creates cleaner lines and improves alignment, helping golfers achieve their intended starting line more consistently.
A discussion of zero-torque putters wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the hosel. Recently, PXG has utilized an S-hosel design in their ZT models, appealing to those who prefer not to look down at a center-shafted putter. However, the One & Done ZT features a center shaft with an onset hosel. PXG positions the shaft’s axis close to the putter’s center of gravity, which promotes a toe-up design. This positioning, whether using the onset hosel or the S-hosel, reduces the amount of putter head rotation during the stroke, regardless of whether you are using a straight back, straight through, or arcing stroke. The onset hosel design also encourages some shaft lean, helping to place the hands in a natural forward-press position.

The One & Done ZT putter showcases similar design elements found in PXG’s renowned irons. It features a hollow body made of 303 stainless steel, which is then filled with a proprietary S COR polymer. This injection process leverages several design advantages found in other PXG products. The hollow design allows for the repositioning of discretionary weight, resulting in an exceptionally high MOI. Furthermore, since S COR occupies more than 50% of the putter’s internal volume, players can expect a head that provides excellent feel and stability throughout the stroke.
S COR also supports an extremely thin putter face measuring just .055 inches thick. For this face, PXG utilizes their third-generation pyramid milling pattern, which has become a reliable choice for them. The aggressively milled pyramid patterns aim to provide consistent interaction with the golf ball, resulting in a purer roll along with consistent sound and launch conditions.
We’ve come to appreciate that PXG strongly advocates for club fitting, and this principle holds true for their putters. An official putter fitting helps players customize their weight and stroke preferences using two adjustable sole weights.
