When you think about Toulon Golf, it is fairly likely that thoughts immediately go to some of the cleanest putter designs of all time, along with mixing them with the precision and attention to detail like only they can. This is by all means an acceptable and expected reaction, but Toulon is also so much more.
People forget, that the patriarch of the brand Sean Toulon has been at the forefront of some of the biggest innovations in golf for the past forty years.

While the list of those creations is too large for one singular article, the mere realization that it includes things like movable weights, adjustable shafts, and even super high MOI putters should get the point across. Even as commonplace as those innovations are now, they were at one point met with shock, and even some doubt. They were concepts which would come to revolutionize many aspects of golf equipment, but still concepts, nonetheless.
The thing is, Sean still has some ideas up his sleeve and combined with the rest of Team Toulon, they are set to unveil their next all new lineup. Named “Concept 59”, this is the much needed playground for the entire team to bring anything they can dream up into existence. Every single release within Toulon Concept 59 will be different, ranging from mild to wild, but the commonality will be that each will remain untethered by the commonplace and instead be driven by passion and purpose.
What is up first? Well, it is something that definitely goes beyond the terrestrial.
Toulon Concept 59 Series – Roswell
Yes, you read that right, Roswell. Keeping with Toulon Golf’s traditional geographic naming tendency, this one tips the cap to the mecca of all things extraterrestrial, Roswell. With its extremely non-traditional mallet shaping, the shadow it casts reminded the brand of a UFO, making the choice of name quite easy this time around.

As always though, the putter shape has a rhyme and a reason, and for the Roswell it started with a question. What if the shape of a putter head could shape a golfer’s behavior?
The reality of Toulon Golf being part of so many fittings over four decades within the industry is that they have learned equipment doesn’t just respond to the input given (in this case, the putting stroke), but it actually shapes it. Every single visual aspect of a putter shape can sway not just the performance found with it but also alter a golfer’s own traits as well.

While that is certainly a lot to break down and absorb, Toulon Golf looks to bring your mind back down to earth by basing the design of the Roswell 90 around three specific principles.
First, the understanding via their years of testing and innovation is that better aim is not optional when it comes to putters. The reality is that having an alignment which is one single degree off is enough to miss the cup entirely on a ten foot putt. So, with that in mind, the goal with the Roswell 90 was to use a much squarer shaping to add both parallel and perpendicular visuals to help ensure that there is ample feedback for golfers of all eye dominance types to easily find a more perfect alignment. With the shape, though it is way outside the box to be sure, you get immediate understanding of when you are square to your intended target line, and when you are not.

Next, while there are a plethora of putter balances and toe-hang options out there, even within Toulon’s own arsenal, the most inconsistent putters out there tend to have the common theme of possessing far too much rotation in the stroke. By creating a putter which encourages a more Straight-Back-Straight-Through path, there is less arc which means less margin for error. The shape of the Roswell 90 wants to make you feel like the putter is on rails throughout the motion, this is thanks to the visuals as well as the implementation of zero-torque into the putter.
Finally, neither of those previous principles matter if you also cannot return the face to square at impact. You see, when it comes to roll on the greens, face angle is King. With the Roswell 90, the aforementioned zero-torque aspect also brings an improved resistance to twisting to the table. Why does that matter? Because it means less manipulation will exist from address to impact, and that means a putter that is working with the golfer.
Details & Pricing

Visually, the Roswell is the most outside the box concept we have seen from Toulon Golf since the Indianapolis. From the square shaping to the zero-torque hosel location, the Roswell 90 could very well be the ideal model to debut the new Concept 59 portion of the brands lineup.
The Roswell 90 comes in at a 370g headweight (10g weights at standard) and thanks to the zero-torque design has a toe up (-90 degrees) hang profile. In terms of shaft lean, there is none here, though there is an 11 mm onset. The putter is finished out in Toulon Golf’s classic black finish and pays further homage to the Roswell origin via the modernized alien logos and fluorescent green accents.
The price for the Toulon Concept 59 Roswell 90 is $700 with availability beginning 12/17/25 at 9am ET. For more information, be sure to check out their website, www.ToulonGolf.com.

Wow I was not expecting to see this when this article popped up. As usual @Jman carefully crafts the details into a consumable story that is easy to follow.
Reading this really caught my attention \"The shape of the Roswell 90 wants to make you feel like the putter is on rails throughout the motion, this is thanks to the visuals as well as the implementation of zero-torque into the putter.\"
Colors are cool. Finish is awesome. Overall shape I’m not a fan of though.
Don’t know why or can’t explain it but I like the shape.
Ok, this is interesting. Very different. It will be polarizing.
Wow. That’s different. Great info though
Very interesting shape – would love to see in person.
I don’t know why but I didn’t expect to see a putter like this from Toulon.
I like the look overall, but the angles might be a bit too sharp.
I love it! Maybe it’s because I had great luck with a square driver but I’m really curious about these. I might be doing golf math in my head on trade in values.
I get cattle brand vibes, but not necessarily in a bad way. Would love to see one in the wild
Pretty interesting look to be sure. This part stuck out to me quite a bit. I love the idea of a putter being on rails, that stability could be useful to someone who struggles twisting or manipulating the face

I like the colors. Shape kind of reminds me of a Cobra Agera with squared sides. I could see the squared off style helping with alignment
Great break down in the article!
I like it. I can definitely see that shape helping to influence a straight back straight through stroke.
Hmmm.
The shape isn’t my favorite, but I’d give it a fair try, because I do feel like there could be something there on the tech side. The alien theme sort of takes away from it imo.
Clicked on the article link, saw headcover, and came back to say this is awesome. That is all now back to the article.
I was a HUGE fan of the Indianapolis and used a center shaft model for quite awhile so this one speaks to me. I really wish a store around me had Toulon because I’d love to give this a try. The squared of look takes away from the aesthetic a bit, but it makes sense why they did it.
Cool looking putter. I like the body shape that helps me frame the ball and square the putter. Definitely fits my straight back and through stroke.

Must be an Ohio winter thing I was calculating values and have no business looking at or for another putter right now
A center shafted, zero torque Indianapolis with rails to square it off.
Yep my brain hurts a little bit like I expected.
The Toulons are the perfect type of mad scientists.
Having the details is really helpful, but does anybody else feel like this was teased to the point on social media that it feels like old news already?

Yes.
And a lot of that social media confuses me into thinking it’s you because it’s from TheGolfHawk.
It’s like the Indianapolis but boxy. Hopefully there will be one in a store to roll

I get it because…Roswell but I agree. Could have used the color scheme and left the little green man off

Yes. So much yes. Pictures tell a story too and nothing is left to the imagination.

no way, green man is awesome
Seeing this the past couple days on social, and I am kind of on the fence. At first glance, I like the shape, a bit different from a lot of the ZT on the market.
Another part of me sees an Indianapolis with two extra supports nd a different color scheme. I like the black/green. I like the Roswell naming, and having it be a bit out there.
As part of the entire Toulon lineup though? I don’t know if it “goes” though. Everything from New Toulon has been class and refinement, not saying this isn’t…. its just different.
The headcover is awesome btw. Needs to be said.

Yes. When you can see full on pics of it days before actual release, I thought they kind of spoiled the reveal.

I think you should try one. It’s maybe the malletesty mallet to ever mallet.
I love the logo and color concept for this. Don’t love the shape but I wasn’t a fan of the Indy either. I would definitely try it but don’t see this being a long term option for me.
And yet I still kinda want it haha
By using the name Roswell , I had some expectations on the look for this putter. This didn’t disappoint.
The tech to aide in alignment and staying square is great for most putters.

Agree here. I would have loved the green man on the cover only and not the putter.

I absolutely love the Toulon crew, however, this was made for someone else. 🙂
Can the lie angle be slightly tweaked on this like their other ZT putters?
I really do appreciate the callback to Sean’s history in putter making to set the tone and validate the presentation of something like this shape. It’s well stated @Jman and certainly worthy of giving it a second look.
I don’t know why but this one speaks to me. I love everything about it.
The other thing about this release that is sticking with me is that Concept 59 is to be a series and there more wild innovation coming. I love that.

I’m glad someone finally caught that!
It honestly took me a second time reading @Jman ‘s article for it to click what I had just read. VERY excited to see what else they’ve got cooking.
Not really a fan of how this one looks.
A very different and distinct looking putter. I don’t think it would be for me because of the shape and it doesn’t fit my stroke.
So much respect for all that he has done and isn’t satisfied with his success. Love seeing Toulon push the envelope with this design.

It’ll be a range that has some wild truly experimental things that are outside the box, as well as some much closer to the box releases.
