Did @AT_CG and @DB_CG as if it’s a requirement to be under 5’8″ in order to join THP? Never seen Moochie tower over so many people.

Pretty sure he towers over me… I’m just fat and he is all in shape & stuff so it’s not so noticeable.

Alright it’s official… I am now simply The Scott. What started as a joke thanks @JDax messing up my name during the preview show and became a running joke during the entire Goat Cup. Just feels right lol.
Now onto more important matters…
@JB I know everyone says you don’t like being thanked but I simply must. You built this entire place that gives guys like me opportunities we could only dream of. You should be extremely proud of what you’ve accomplished. Myself and all other THPers who have been blessed enough to go on an experience like this owe you a debt of gratitude. I also want to say thank you for coming to dinner with us on Saturday night. I was extremely nervous to meet you but it quickly became apparent that you’re a regular guy who enjoys busting balls. It definitely helped take some of the pressure off of Sunday though having that introduction out of the way.
@THE BOV I knew from our interactions leading up to the event that I would like you and you didn’t disappoint. You are such a genuine dude. It was an honor to be your teammate and win a ring together. I’m thrilled we got to ride together at Wild Horse since we didn’t get to play together at GrayBull. I took forward to the day we get to tee it up again.
@Mikey D I know you didn’t play how you wanted to in singles but man you kept the vibes high in our cart as I was trying to do the impossible. You ran into a total buzz saw and shouldn’t feel about at all. Such a cool dude. I’ve always wanted to visit Boston and now I know if I ever make it out there that I absolutely have to hit you up!
@Wonger You’re like a silent assassin. I was really impressed with your game. Just rock solid. I also was sincerely touched you gave me that bag of Morgan Cup tees. It’s the first piece of THP merch I’ve ever received and am now proud to be a part of this community.
I truly am gonna be thrilled for any of you to get the MVP. You all deserve it.
@Muchmore you are such a cool dude. Steady as it get goes. That alt shot match is what I keep thinking off. To be massive underdogs like that and come thru was a such a cool experience. I can’t wait to play with you again one day.
@AT_CG I was a complete ball of nerves for our shamble match. Easily the most nervous I’ve ever been on a golf course. You did a fantastic job and keeping me in the moment. I really could have spiraled but you didn’t let it happen. Getting to play off your tee shots was a blast. They’re a lot straighter than what I’m used to hitting! Off the course though you also killed it. Your enthusiasm for your product was oozing out of you. Anyone would be hard pressed to not want to play Callaway equipment after talking to you.
@DB_CG getting to play against you in singles was thrilling. I expected to get boat raced but I actually managed to hang on for a while. Going 1 up on you was not something I ever expected to happen and even though the final result wasn’t what I wanted I still had an absolute blast. Even when things started going badly for me on the back nine it was hard to get too upset because you’re so damn nice. I couldn’t be bothered about losing to you. Getting to sit next to you during the fireside chat on Monday night was a real highlight as well. I asked you everything I could think of and you happily answered all of it.
@JasonFinleyCG I was disappointed I didn’t get to meet the legend that is Darth Finley. You should be absolutely proud of the guys who were there though. They are both rockstars. I guess if I want to meet you now I’m just gonna have to find a way to the Grandaddy!
Lastly, to the forum thanks for following along. As a first timer going thru this I was a bit overwhelmed by all the messages and stuff and I know some stuff slipped past me so if I didn’t get to your question I am truly sorry. I hope you all enjoyed following along (and 310 pages suggests you guys did!) as much as I enjoyed being there.
I asked my wife this morning if see saw the post where I posted how much I spent in the pro shop and she said no. I then asked her how much did she think I spent. She said, I don’t know. $100?
I just looked at her and laughed. She just shook her head when I told her the real amount.
But she did get a ball marker out of it, so we’re good.
(To be fair, that’s all she wanted. I tried to talk her into more, but no dice. And honestly, the women’s selection was kind of sparse)

Alright… my turn for a recap.
I have to first thank our leader @JB … I know you hate that but I was raised a certain way and it includes pleases and thank yous. What you have built is nothing short of amazing. The places we get to go because of this are fantastic but the fact you figured out a way for dummies like me to get to hang w/ people inside the business of a game we all love is legendary. I am forever grateful for it. It was my privilege to play you in singles and I believe I am a better golfer now because of it.
We certainly missed @JasonFinleyCG and I have to thank you for helping to put this together. The FaceTime call was fantastic and we were all grateful of you taking the time to do it. I think I speak for everyone on THP when I say how much we appreciate your commitment to making the THP & Callaway bond so strong.
To my new friends @AT_CG & @DB_CG … You both are amazing golfers. To watch you guys play was a joy. I love great golf. I think the special part of each of you is that as good as you are as golfers you are even better people. The joy you had AT when discussing our families (so similar) and in showing me the video of your son w/ pencil bat is what I will remember most about you. That video is literally the first story I told my wife when I got home from the event. Then we had DB in his first time hanging out w/ us idiots being so gracious and kind with taking all the time (I mean hours) answering questions and explaining golf balls in a way I didn’t know existed. The pride in which you explain your work made me an even bigger fan boy of Callaway than I thought was possible. Also… the fact at one point we were both unprompted singing & dancing while waiting on the tee box is vibes to the highest level. You both were the vibe at that event. I hope whichever truck you ended up taking made it to that Rockies game in time and I hope you guys had a blast.
@Muchmore … dude you are a rockstar. You made me so much better in this event by being in the cart w/ me both days. Just the pep talks alone on that singles day makes me beyond grateful to have been on your side. I apologize for the Moochie thing but I’m an Italian guy from Syracuse, NY and Moochie is the nickname of a guy who I would consider family. And you my man are indeed family.
@Mikey D … I love that you put up w/ me from the get go. From needing you to raise your hand, to me constantly talking out of turn, to me interrupting your mornings on the deck… you always laughed it off and smiled. I will always be a dick for the ring question (unintentional and I know you know that) but I’m so glad we became buddies. I hope to meet you in Mass. for a round soon and if your son has any questions about his next steps please give him my phone number like we discussed. Anything at all.
@The Scott… I started writing this before I saw your post and name change. I was having a hard time tagging you until I knew it had to be official. Once I typed it in it popped right up. It fits you my man… you are The Scott for sure. You are also no longer a “rookie” and you embraced everything that these events are about… even up to the point of carting me all over Nebraska and refusing to take any kind of gas $$ for it. Your joy for golf, THP, what you do, and overall life left me in awe. I’m so glad we became friends and were teammates in this event. Oh yeah… you can smash that little white ball too. Keep up the good work and progress with golf and your health… both are inspiring. Also… I made my wife watch GMA this morning.
@Wonger … You sir are the person we all would like to be in life. I pulled you aside at the event to tell you this but I will tell everyone on this forum as well.. You are a superhero in my eyes. You are exactly the type of person that makes THP the best place to hang on the internet. I’m so glad I got to be in group 1 on singles day to watch you play as it was the most impressive thing I’ve seen at any event. There is nothing Temu about you at all my friend… you are as real as they come and I am so proud to call you a friend.
To all you THP’ers that supported the heck out of this event I thank you for making this one of the best experiences THP has ever had. I went through the entire thread today and was overwhelmed by it. I missed so many tags and/or quotes but tried to go back and answer as many as I could. I also want everyone who supported me to know that I saw your posts today and I am humbled by them and I appreciate each and every one. I have made so many great friends on this forum and I cherish that fact.
Lastly… THP & Callaway is a marriage made in heaven. I have no doubts that myself and fellow participants will do our damnedest to keep that bond strong.
Thanks for everything,
THE BOV

Thanks for everything,
THE BOV

I’ve said it at least once already and don’t care, I’ll say it again. This crew absolutely CRUSHED the Goat Cup.
Thanks again for bringing us along for the ride, fellas.
And shouting out Team Tudor and especially my fellow lefty @Muchmore for finally getting the experience dub!

Absolutely love it
I always love the recaps. Getting to hear the overall thoughts and tidbits from those that experienced it always makes me smile. I appreciate you guys taking the time to do them. Dig the name changes! Can’t recall the last time we got two from one experience. hahaha
Those group pictures are fantastic, and getting Team Tudor with the rings like that was well done!
Reading the recaps after the dust has settled and the participants have time to gather their thoughts is always fun and inspiring. I love the new usernames for @THE BOV and @The Scott, and it’s awesome you’ll forever have that connection to the 2025 Goat Cup.
@JB @Muchmore @Mikey D @THE BOV, @The Scott and @Wonger, you guys all did a great job bringing the forum along and playing some great golf in the process. It’s a lot to juggle, but you all pulled it off so well while still managing to stay engaged in the moment.
@AT_CG and @DB_CG, such great hosts and competitors. Thanks to you, @JasonFinleyCG and Callaway Golf for your enthusiasm, kindness and generosity. I’m admittedly biased, but in my opinion nobody puts on an Experience like Callaway does, first class all the way.
I can’t wait to see who the lucky MVP and at-home follower will be to join Team Our Time for the 2025 Grandaddy!

Nice swag haul.
you all crushed it during the event and I appreciate the recaps. What a course and experience
Our two fine gentlemen from Callaway, just a couple of absolute gems.
@DB_CG stepped in last minute to pinch hit, sat on that curveball and smacked a home run. Just so engaging, intelligent and articulate and able to explain to us simply, and help us understand and report back to you guys at THP. I hope to one day know my craft as well as this man.
@JasonFinleyCG, if it has any sway (which I know it doesn’t) do not fire this guy! Maybe some remedial training for ball speed will suffice, but let him keep his job ?
@AT_CG, there is a reason you have the reputation you do here at THP. Pretty easy to see after spending a couple days with you. An infectious personality and a true ambassador for Callaway Golf. Stone cold killer on the course and an excellent hang off it.
If I ever find myself lucky enough to be in another experience with you, and I find myself pitted against you…I will be hiding in the bathroom, middle stall. Find someone to give me a pep talk and tell me it will be ok.
And @JasonFinleyCG, thank you sir, for your involvement in this amazing event. Would have loved to meet you and shake your hand and thank you in person.
Your representation of Callaway and the generosity of your time is truly appreciated.
To all the folks at THP that allow these amazing things to happen, I certainly hope you know how I feel about this place. It’s pretty special.
And to my fellow Goat Cup participants, you guys are held in my highest regard. The individuals that I got to enjoy this with are the ones that take it to another level. Thank you for making this experience what it was.
