It’s the final trip of the THP Event series called Shaft Up with UST Mamiya in 2022. For those that have missed the previous years, Shaft Up is a series of 3 events on the THP Forum where lucky forum members win a full fitting, golf at amazing course, new equipment and oh yeah, it is all 100% free including airfare. This year trip 3 is being held at the beautiful Dormie Club and it is going to be an amazing follow.
Shaft Up #3 is coming next week and just because you will not be at Dormie Club with Danny Le from UST Mamiya, and myself, does not mean you cannot win an amazing prize.

Damnit, that’s good!
Well done!
Yowza! ??
Can you pull the shaft from the adapter, or does the epoxy have it wedged?
It can happen if there has recently been a change in climate and club was kept in car.
Just the ferrule easily, the rattle is my concern.
Rattles happen all of the time. Easy fix and normally just a piece of epoxy
he went on to ask about the shaft and “how in the hell does someone end up in a shaft like that?” I explained the forum and events. Didn’t seem to believe me. I told him I was fit by a wizard in a bucket hat.
After my recent run of bad luck I was afraid to take any chances. Seems fixed for now.
Glad to hear that!
I had the sleeve and ferrule reset. The driver was excellent with no issues on a cold day with really hard range balls. The sleeve didn’t move and all was well.
The ferrule slide down just a little. Is this worth having it all removed and redone, keep pushing it up, or put a small amount of super glue on it and push it up till it dries?
I would do the latter. Ferrules slide from time to time
Thanks… I’ve had a few shafts break over the years and I’m kinda fond of this one. It brings me great pleasure to watch a couple of the 65 year old guys try to prove they are still 30
If it’s me I’d play it outside. I struggle swinging my normal driver swing indoors so a little right on the sim is usually good outside. Maybe a little outdoor range session first before tinkering. If I’m playing indoors I’m definitely using the D setting. For me it’s all about doing the least amount of damage to my swing when indoors.
