Wednesday we kick off the 2024 Victory Cup with Mizuno Golf at the beautiful Briggs Ranch in San Antonio, TX. Eight THP Forum Members competing with a group from Mizuno HQ in a team battle with new equipment in their bags.
Just because you are not with us, does not mean you can’t win something special. We are giving away a very cool Mizuno Mystery Box to a lucky winner that makes the correct prediction.
This trip is all about Mizuno JPX925 irons and each participant was able to order a set to their liking. We have a stacked itinerary to follow along with on the THP Forum, and it looks a bit like this.

Post below which team will win. Entries must be in by the time the first group tees off on Thursday morning at Briggs Ranch. We will randomly select a winner from the list of all entries that selected the correct team.

I got to test them the day after the VC last year when I flew back home for an annual tournament that we have. It was cold and rainy here after I had perhaps the best 4 days of weather that the stretch from Cincinnati to Victoria National has ever had. I played in 50-55* with a drizzle to light rain both days and never felt like my club was going to slip. They really are awesome and now I kind of look forward to a little rain as I feel like I have an advantage over people.

I did play with them a few times. I preferred them in a light rain more than just windy cold. Super grippy and unlike other rain gloves I’ve owned.
Decided to try my hand at our dessert from the 1st night at Briggs.
The top one was dipped in pancake batter before frying. Went with the peanut butter and honey for this attempt.

Did they talk at all about the foundry?

On the other foot, my golf game hasn’t been the same since Briggs and competing in the Victory Cup. I feel like I’ve experienced post-Hackers experience depression. Is that a thing?

It happens, but you gotta push through it. You have irons to review my man. Lean on that to get yourself back in the swing of things.
With the addition of the ST Max driver to the bag, I now have 12 Mizuno clubs of 14 heading into 2025. Excited!
Callaway 7w, an all time Mt Rushmore club for me, and the new S2S DW putter are currently safe, but they should have their heads on a swivel.
