Thanks all!! This is crazy, I’m sitting here absolutely stunned…. it’s cloudy and rainy over here, but this message just injected a shot of much needed sunshine into my life right now. Not saying this because of what happened here, but from all I’ve seen and read on these forums, THP really is a unique and special place. It feels unreal at times with everything that’s done, offered, and shared. Not just from THP themselves, but from all the folks that make up the community as well. Unreal!!!
my buddy had this made for me
Congrats @meloisa !!!

Alt shot was rough. We had already played 18 holes that day and just eaten a huge lunch so I was ready to take a nap.
I had never played more than 18 holes in a day before- that was the first time

Alt-shot is something very few play regularly and can really challenge a team.
The Chapman (otherwise known as Pinehurst) format is a twist on it that is also fun, but in our Sunday Couples league, dubbed “Divorce Court Format”.
Congrats @meloisa !!

We actually continued on after the 9 hole alt shot and it was one of the more memorable parts of the trip because the entire group got to hang out on the course for about 5 holes. It was wild but a lot of fun.
So many memorable moments in a short time. Honestly one of those trips I’ll never forget.
Congrats @meloisa you’re going to love the driver!!!

The few holes post alt-shot are fun. It’s funny because the rest of the week is competition and suddenly you’re just back into just playing golf mode. 🙂
Loved hearing everything about your experience, Briggs is special.

I did over 100 in a day for a fundraiser about 10 years ago. I’m not sure it counts though because I used a driving cart for most of it. That’s a lot of walking! So far I’ve only done 30 two weeks ago (had to leave to pick up kids) and 27 last week at one of my favorite courses that has theee nines.
Appreciate you all! Can’t wait to get this in hand and start offering my thoughts and experiences with it!
nope, but also 2024 was my first full year of golf and most of my rounds (until this year) were golf outings so….
Congrats @meloisa

Ahhh, was just ribbing you a little bit. If you end up going to a place on your own like Bandon or St. Andrews you’ll be playing 36 every day you get a chance. Even if your golf shoes don’t show up and you have to wear hiking boots. Ask me how I know. ?
Congrats @meloisa on the new driver. I really enjoyed it, so much I ordered my 14 year old son a new ZXi Max driver.

If i did it over again I would replace my P and A Wedge with a ZX7 or even a Z Blade. With that big Sole I am just unable/uncomfortable hitting partials with those.
I did ZX7s in my PW and AW for the 2023 Srixon Experience and while I love those clubs I don’t feel I hit them any better than the previous generation ZX5s. I went combo crazy building my set and while it was fun I don’t think I hit them better than the full set of ZX5s I had.
For me right now the biggest area I think I could use some help is the 5i. I find I don’t carry it all that much farther than my 6i like maybe 5-7 yards on average. It does go farther with run out but not the carry. It has me thinking about a hybrid but I generally haven’t hit hybrids great.

Wow! What a great couple of days at Briggs Ranch with THP and Srixon. Everytime I walk past my bags I still get a subtle whiff of that lovely scent from Briggs Ranch.
Thank you, thank you , thank you random number generator for selecting me to attend the 2025 Srixon Experience!! Thank you to @JB for allowing me to be your guest at this amazing property again. We all know the hospitality at a Dormie Network club is top notch and Briggs Ranch goes above and beyond!
Amberlynn, I know she is not on the forum (I think we have convinced her to join) and hope this gets to her. Thank you for all of the Srixon equipment and additional swag. The hats, the balls, the valuables pouch, the key chain, and the custom 56* THP RTZ wedge was all over the top! It was an absolute pleasure to get to learn more about the behind the scenes stuff on Srixon and how pivotal your role is in the continued growth of Srixon.
To my participants, you first time experience guys crushed it!! You guys kept the forum engaged with post, pictures and videos. You all played some great golf and were an absolute joy to be with in this experience.
@MrVanillaGorilla – The 6’7″ gentle giant from Arkansas! Even though you almost killed me with your over abundance of Armor All on your running boards on your Monster Truck, I still have mad love for you :ROFLMAO: You absolutely murder your tee ball! I do not think you missed the center of the club face one time all experience! That thud coming off the driver is something I hear in my sleep. For a first timer of a THP Experience you killed it and I cannot wait to see you in another experience soon. Hopefully without all of those pigs on your shorts :ROFLMAO: And don’t be shy with your barbcue receipes please! Summer time is almost here in NJ and I love to cookout on the grill. For those that do not know @MrVanillaGorilla is a nationally ranked grill master!
@formula8 – you will be known to me as the man who thinks Frosted Flakes have not taste and that you need to add fruit! It was a pleasure getting to know you better at the practice chipping area, during our fire pit chats and leading up to the event. You are a great ball striker and I am confident the ZXi7s will work tremendously well for you this season and beyond.
@PV_Premier – welcome back to the game after taking some time away. I know you were not happy with how you played but I think you did very well after being away from the game so long. You beat JB in singles, I do not think you know what an accomplishment that is. Not many people can say that they did that and now you can! Always remember to leave your drink or coffee at the table before you take it into a public restroom and you will be fine! :ROFLMAO:
@Revan – Mr Towel hanging from hip or back pocket man! You are on your way to some really good golf my man! I know you were super nervous coming in after some visits to Florida for golf but mannnn you played exceptionally well! You hit some incredible shots that you should be proud of. I know you will work your butt off to continually get better at this game we all love and hate at times. I will make the trip up to play at your club anytime to watch you play and to watch the scenery 😉
@Canadan – You are okay in my book! 🙂
Jack and Jose – great to see you again my boys!
Forum members, I hope myself and the participants brought you guys as close as we could to the action at Briggs Ranch! No matter how many experiences I am lucky enough to participate in I know the #1 goal is to bring THP along for the ride and its damn hard to do!
FYI, my signature is updated with WITB from Srixon and I will be in the dedicated equipment threads to discuss more. If anyone is in the market for any new clubs, do yourself a favor and give Srixon/Cleveland a shot. I think you will be pleasantly surprised! I know I was especially with the driver, fairway wood, and putter.
Thanks for the summary and bringing us along for the ride. For my money you were the MVP of the Srixon Experience. You did an awesome job sharing the experience with the board.

Tried Hybrid 20 some years ago and found them easy to hit but yea, Any wrist turn and they went left. Huge difference nowadays with my current set that you can see in my Signature, so easy to hit Tee or Fairway. Just ordered another Brand in a 5H 24? and can’t wait to test and maybe take to BagBoy. I plan to bring all my Clubs and decide each day which I will use, whether 4,5 U85s, or all Hybrids. It so fun nowadays to be able to make Loft adjustments to fit a Yardage.

i would recommend considering the ZXi4 4i or 5i or the ZXiU 4U. @Canadan could comment/photo on the ZXi4 4i as he abducted one over the weekend.
For me, the 4U has been easy to elevate and it holds greens alright. I took it into the green twice during play at Briggs, albeit with a backstop in both cases, and had no concern about going over. For me it’s about a 190-195 club. The 7w has turned out to be about a 205 club, even with the loft turned down a degree or so.
My 5i is about a 182-185 club.
Here are side by sides of the 4U and ZXi7 5 iron for your consideration…4U at the left in all photos.
