At THP, we believe that testing should be done not only by us, but also by the golfers just like you. One of the cool features about being an active member of the THP Forum is that we look to you guys/gals, the consumers, to give feedback on equipment to golfers all around the world. Each month we send out iron sets, drivers, hybrids, putters, trainings aids and golf balls to our active members to be a part of the THP Forum Member testing. Who wants to take on the PW Challenge?
The PW Challenge
There is currently a debate around the PW. Is it a wedge? Is it a 10 iron? Are you getting the precision you need out of it? We want to put that to the test with the help of Edison Wedges and specifically their Edison 2.0 wedge line. If you missed the information on that new release, you can find our preview on them here.

Criteria
We will select a group of FIVE THPers to join staff writer James to test the new options.
You must be able to check in on the forum thread daily (or close to it) to discuss and answer questions.
You will be reviewing the Edison 2.0 vs your own PW for 60 days and then it is yours to keep.
How to Signup
We are going to match your make and model of your irons PW
1. What irons (PW) do you play? Include Shaft and Grip so we can match.
2. What wedges do you play? (non-set). Include lofts of each.
3. RH or LH?
We will announce the testers next week. If you want to learn more about any of the new Edison products, check out their website at www.edisonwedges.com.
Sounds like a really interesting test project!

1. What irons (PW) do you play? Cobra Radspeed set PW. 42* loft. KBS Tour 90 Stiff. Golfpride MCC midsize grip
2. What wedges do you play? (non-set). Cleveland RTX 6 Zipcore. 53* and 58*
3. RH
I currently play an Apex DCB 21 PW @ 43? loft. Recoil Dart 65’s. R flex. Jumbo Golf Pride CP2 Wrap grip.
I was playing a 44? CBX with DG Spinner shaft and same grip with my T300s because the set wedge lacked any versatility and was woefully inadequate when it came to spin. When got these DCBs a couple months ago I decided give them a fair shake before shelving them. I havent fired it yet….
I also play a CBX 54? and CBX 58?DG Spinner. 58-100 Vokey SM7 S grind with Vokey wedge shaft and a 58-4 X Grind Mizuno T22 with DG Spinner and CP2 jumbo. Different bounces for different conditions.
I’d love to test the Edisons, I have heard a lot about them, but have never even laid eyes on one in person.
Such a great idea!
Very cool opportunity! I’ve loved listening to Mr. Koehler on Off Course. And the feedback on the first and the 2.0’s has been really good.
1. What irons (PW) do you play? Cobra Aerojet VL, KBS Tour Lite Stiff 105g, Lamkin Crossline standard

Was thinking the same exact thing.
Good opportunity. Been following Terry Koehler’s thoughts on wedges for awhile and he has some very good insights.

I thought the same for a minute, then decided that this being a PW testing opportunity made a it quite a bit different, so I went ahead and signed up. I’m pretty sure I could test a couple of PWs head to head at the same time I’m testing the incoming 50* and 56*.

I would be very curious if you get the nod for this. I feel, for me, the large Soles of my ZX5s don’t allow me to use my P and A as Chipping/Pitching Tools. It could be that my Course does not have the most Lush Fairways for me too practice, or that I prefer a more Blade type Partial Shot Tool.

Hmmm I’m not the guy to ask as I use my Jaws Raw 54° for most shots inside 80 yards and almost always around the green
My irons – Titleist 716 AP1 with graphite VGC stiff shafts and Lamkin X10 midsize grips I put together myself. Tip weighted. My wedges are Vokey oil can old school
What a sweet opportunity!
1) Srixon ZX7, nippon modus pro 120 x-flex
2) Callaway Jaws Raw: stock shafts, wedge flex, 50*, 54*, and 58*

agreed, and matching everything makes it a true head to head showdown, nothing else in the way. Can’t wait to see how it plays out on THP
Not a ton of interest so we will get this announced Monday and get some wedges sent out.
Personally i’m super interested in the results

Really surprised by the low turnout for testers. But there’s still time for final entries.
Today’s the day for a few lucky THPers!!
