At THP, we believe that testing should be done not only by us, but also by golfers just like you. One of the cool features about being an active member of the THP Forum is that we look to you guys/gals, the consumers, to give feedback on equipment to golfers all around the world. Each month we send out iron sets, drivers, hybrids, putters, trainings aids and golf balls to our active members to be a part of the THP Forum Member testing. So, who wants to test the brand new Volvik VTU3 and VTU4 golf balls?

Volvik VTU3 and VTU4 Golf Balls
This brand new premium tour level golf ball line is hitting stores next month. Based on the last year of reviews on the Volvik premium offerings, we are intrigued by the performance and technology. If you missed our preview article on them, you can find that info here.
Testing golf balls is a ton of fun because there is so much taking place. From flight to feel and everything in between. We will be shipping each participant selected a full dozen of their choosing. From there, you will offer weekly feedback for a period of two months.
Criteria
We will select a group of 6 THPers that will join the THP Staff. If selected you will get a rundown prior to ordering of the posting and review expectations. If you have questions beforehand, do not hesitate to ask below.
You must be able to check in on the forum thread daily (or close to it) to discuss and answer questions.
Please note: You will be reviewing the golf balls for a period of two months and then, assuming you still have some left, they are obviously yours to keep. If you cannot commit to this length of testing please do not signup.

How to Signup to Test
Comment below and follow these instructions.
Step 1 – Tell us what golf ball your currently play?
Step 2 – Which Volvik you would like to test
Step 3 – Why you chose that model
If you need some help on the breakdown of the two models, you can check our article on them here or check out the Volvik website at www.volvik.com.
You must apply by end of day Thursday, February 13th, 2025
We will announce the testers on Friday, February 14th, on the THP Forum.

Is this open for weather challenged people (ie done indoor testing for a bit?)
Asking for myself (because winter is no time for friends)

Welcome to my world.

yes
Cool and fun opportunity!
I currently game the z star xv
VTU4 would be the ball I’d like to try
Like the idea of more spin on approach shots I tend to loose some with mid irons. Sounds like this could be a winner.
Would rather see these in use on the course than garage and simulators so I’ll pass.
Tuesday bump. Don’t miss out people. These balls will open your eyes to a whole new brand – one of my favorite things.

You know golf balls have been one of my favorite things to test lately. I love seeing the differences especially when they are noticeable. The Condor really impressed me last year, without testing here I likely would have never picked them up.

That’s the thing, especially with a brand like Volvik that people might be new to. You can really open your eyes to something different. That XT Soft was a game changer for me last year.
I didn’t even know Volvik made urethane cover balls, lol. Now, do we get a sample of balls or as many balls as we need? If I’m lucky enough to be selected, I will have to sub mine out for forced carries and play courses without a lot of water here, lol.
1. What golf ball your currently play? TP5, Wilson Staff Model X, Srixon Z-Star, Kirkland’s finest.
2. Which Volvik you would like to test? UT4, preferably yellow
3. Why you chose that model: I want to play a (yellow/green) ball with the most greenside spin and spin off the irons, but that still feels soft yet solid on putts. 90-compression has always seemed to be a sweet spot for this. I hate putting clicky/airy golf balls or balls that feel like rocks. Hoping Volvik has found a way to get a more premium feel that’s easier on the wallet.
Awesome – looking forward to the reviews!
Step 1 – Tell us what golf ball your currently play? Srixon Z-Star XV
Step 2 – Which Volvik you would like to test VTU4
Step 3 – Why you chose that model It seems to align closely with the Srixon Z-Star XV. I like the firmer feel and durability (I’m assuming the difference is similar to that of the Z-Star XV vs ProV 1)
Not too much longer
1. What golf ball your currently play? Z-Star Diamond, Tour BX
2. Which Volvik you would like to test? VTU-4
3. Why you chose that model: I’d like to see if I am capable of getting a little more spin with the 4. I really like the Tour BX and the ZS Diamond so it would be interesting (to me, at least) how different these may be for me. Guess I’d be getting back on the Track Man to see some numbers for this, if selected.
I would like to give these a go

I’ll throw my hat in the ring as I enjoyed the last Volvik balls and seems VTU3 might build on the XTSoft with feel and adding more distance.
I currently have the indoor setup rained in with MLM2Pro and working quite a bit on winter sessions.
Currently playing the BRX which has been great.
To echo what some have mentioned, I was so impressed with both the Condor/X and XT Soft that it really excites me for the VTU3/4. Outside of the logo balls, I was ignorant to what Volvik is doing until the brand story last year. Really impressive stuff coming from them!

The Volvik story is so cool.
People really truly don’t know their size/scope.
And I’m like you, the XT was badass, so it’s got me really excited about these as well. Love learning more.
This would be great to be a part of the testing.
Step 1 –Calloway Chromesoft
Step 2 – VTU3 model
Step 3 – I chose this model because I like a golf ball that has a softer feel. It’s mostly the way the club feels when striking a softer feel ball. I think it’s a mental thing but it affects me so I choose a softer feel ball.
Today is the last day to signup.
Step 1 – Tell us what golf ball your currently play?
Callaway Chrome Soft
Step 2 – Which Volvik you would like to test
VTU-3
Step 3 – Why you chose that model
I would like a softer and more forgiving ball
Last day…would love to see some others jump in for this opportunity
#1- Titleist Pro V1X
2# VTU4
#3- I used to play Volvik S3 then S4(late). Great ball none like it. Won tournaments with it. Now being discontinued the VTU4 may be more of what I am needing and that is compatible to what I am playing. Want high greenside spin, but a hard ball. Like the crunch.
This is locked up.
