At THP, we believe that testing should be done not only by us, but also by golfers just like you. One of the cool features about being an active member of the THP Forum is that we look to you guys/gals, the consumers, to give feedback on equipment to golfers all around the world. Each month we send out iron sets, drivers, hybrids, putters, trainings aids and golf balls to our active members to be a part of the THP Forum Member testing. So, who wants to test the brand new Vortex Anarch laser rangefinder?

Vortex Anarch
A couple of weeks ago, we published our review of the Vortex Anarch and if you missed that, you can find it here. We also previously took a deep dive into the company in a Brand Story you do not want to miss. The Anarch might just be the best laser rangefinder on the market, but we want you to put it to the test and tell us what you think.
Criteria
We will select a group of 5 THPers that will join THP’s Education Director @Jman for this testing. If selected you will get a rundown prior to ordering of the posting and review expectations. If you have questions beforehand, do not hesitate to ask below.
You must be able to check in on the forum thread daily (or close to it) to discuss and answer questions.
Please note: You will be reviewing the device for a period of two months and then it is yours to keep. If you cannot commit to this length of testing please do not signup.
How to Signup to Test
Comment below and follow these instructions.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about?
You must apply by end of day Friday, February 28th, 2025
We will announce the testers on Saturday, March 1st, on the THP Forum.

Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using? Callaway Golf 300 Pro
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? Better image stabilization / waterproof /added distance for off course use.
This really looks like an awesome product.
1. Currently using a Nikon coolshot 50i. I chose it for the Nikon optics.
2. I’d be most interested in seeing the quality of the optics of the Vortex, as that seems to be mentioned as one of the features that make it stand out against the competition.
What a great opportunity and THP coming with a lot of testing lately. Good luck to everyone entering.
Cool contest and opportunity:
1 – I currently use a Precision Pro NX7.
2 – I think I’m honestly most interested in their stabilization feature. It’s always something I struggle with on rangefinders.
Bushnell V5
Definitely looking forward to seeing the full image stabilization system…IS is super helpful so having it would be a great help.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using? TecTecTec! ULT-S Pro
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? Image stabilization compared to the ULT-S as well as optics, time and ease of locking onto the target, magnet strength (ULT-S doesn’t have one), and ease of menu use to cycle through settings. Also curious how well distances match. A friends Bushnell gives a slightly different yardag.
Ok this is just too good I couldn’t pass up
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
Precision pro NX10
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about?
The magnesium chassis. Everything I’ve owned has been plastic and the more features they usually get heavier. Would love to see how durable and light weight this thing is.
This would be amazing!
1)Am currently in between finders/using my partners when I can. Was going to settle for an app this season but this would be great!
2)Overall ease of usability. And how quickly I can get a lock. I find some range finders, for me, have difficulty when there are lots of moving trees behind the hole.
Accuracy is always a key factor with a range finder. Excited to possibly try a new product from a newer (to golf) company!
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
Primarily my Shotscope V5 watch. I also have a cheap amazon knock off that pretty much only gets pulled out if my watch battery dies or I forget it.
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about?
I am super interested in the slope feature. I think slope is the biggest asset and need for a distance device that I do not currently have. To do it with the clarity and optics that Vortex Anarch is super appealing.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using? Bushnell V4 non-slope
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? Improved accuracy and speed. For whatever reason I always get different readings hitting flag vs. my fellow competitors. Just not convinced my old Bushnell is that accurate and takes too long at times to find the flag.
Awesome opportunity, Vortex scopes are ridiculous!
Currently using a Bushnell Tour v5 standard.
The image stabilization and slope features. Interested to see how their optics background translates into a golf rangefinder.
Thanks for the opportunity!
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using? – Bushnell Pro X2
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? – PinSpotter Mode intrigues me the most
Currently using new Bluetees and older Garmin rangefinder. Very, very interested in the Vortex with its image stabilization because I sometimes have trouble holding on the target. ( mild neurological condition)
I am familiar with Vortex, I have some of their firearm optics.
Olivier!!
2-0
5 minutes in
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using? I use 18 birdies on my watch and phone
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? The slope adjustment and image stabilization. Sometimes I get a different yardage on my watch and phone and they don’t have slope adjustments. having an accurate number would be nice (can it help me hit the shot too? ? ). Ive used friends rangefinders and I often can’t get a stable shot
This is really cool!
Step 1- currently switch between Precision Pro NX10 and Bushnell Tour V5
Step 2- the image stabilization is the most interesting to me. That’s where I’ve had to spend the most time, is trying to gets a firm lock with out shake
Wild opportunity here.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
Callaway Diablo (Nikon LR550 iirc)
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about?
Image stabilization is a big one as I struggle being shakey and having trouble getting the right reading. Pinspotter mode as well, for the same reason.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
Leupold GX-3i
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about?
For sure the optics quality from their rifle scopes, the clarity of the lens and the pin spotter mode. Even if I do not get chosen to participate looking forward to hearing everyone’s reviews. This item has been on my list to check out this season as well.
Incredible opportunity here.
1 currently using Shotscope L1 and x5 watch.
2 I would love to see in image stabilization in action as I don’t always have the steadiest of hands.
I’m sure the optics are great as I have vortex scopes on several of my rifles and they are great.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using? Voice Caddie SL1
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? The image stabilization. Sometimes I’ll get several different readings on my current range finder because I don’t stabilize the range finder as well as I’d like.
As always, thank you for the opportunity and consideration.
This does look fantastic. Will be interested to hear what the testers think. Not golf season here in the North till mid April, but can’t wait to play regularly again.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
>> Callaway 300 Pro laser and TheGrint GPS app
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about?
>> I want to experience the superior optics. I recently tried a fried’s Vortex binoculars and thought they were impressive, so that made me even more eager to try the rangefinders.
Step 1- Precision Pro NX9 slope rangefinder
Step 2 -image stabilization (as someone who has a tendency to have a shaky hand, this seems like something id love) and the clear view optics. Having used their binoculars for hunting / spotting i know the difference. Its immense compared to the competition. Id imaging that to be the same here from a golf finder perspective.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter THP & Vortex!
I currently use my old somewhat trusty Golf Buddy World, that and my not so trusty plain eyes on my face.
Your review raves about the image stabilization in the view finder. Let me check this out.
Thanks THP, always a fount of good reviews.
😎

Keep those entries coming everyone!!
1 – Shot Scope Pro ZR
2 – clarity at 6x and the speed of acquiring the pin
Absolutely. Vortex is just so impressive as a brand, they cut no corners.
I was introduced to them probably 6 years ago with their optics for rifles.
1. Bushnell Pro X3
2. My red display went out on my current rangefinder so that excites me but the target lock is very appealing!
Thanks for the opportunity!
Thank you THP for the opportunity!
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
Shot Scope Pro LX+
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? PinSpotter. Quickly and accurately locking onto the pin would be fantastic and I’d love to see how well it works.
This would be fun to test!
Step 1 – Mix between Precision Pro NX7 and Garmin S62 watch.
Step 2 – I’m curious about the red display since I’ve never had a rangefinder with anything other than black.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using? Cigman CT-800Y (Based on THP review) and ShotScope V5
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? Image stabilization, and the optical clarity.
Thanks for the opportunity!
1. Currently using a Pinned Golf range finder
2. I have trouble reading the yardage in my current range finder due to the bright Florida sun. I think the automatic brightness feature will help me read yardages quicker, thus speed up the pace of play. (Sounds like a win / win here – lol 😎 )

Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
Bushnell Tour V3
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about?
Loving the idea of a slope function. I’ve never owned a range finder with this tech and interested to know if it will help with my approach shots, the weakest part of my game currently.
Thanks as always for the opportunity THP!!
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
Voice Caddie TL1
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about?
Image stabilization. I turn 57 this year and my hands shake a little more than they used to.
Last day to signup
I’m in
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using? Callaway 300
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? I want to really try the pin spotter. I’ve had numerous rangefinders and they just did not lock down pins. I found it really frustrating. I think Callaway’s has done a solid job. I’d like to see how well this one does. I have par 3 courses around me perfect to test that. Plus the range I go doesn’t give distances on their markers anymore and I want to see if I can lock down their distances against swings I know go those distances.
I have a Bushnell Tour V3
I’m most interested in the slope feature. My Bushnell does not have that.
Step 1 – Bushnell Pro XE
Step 2 – Clear View Optics. Being able to clearly view my target and get the distance is paramount.
I’m in NY, so my testing would be outdoor range until I head to Myrtle to visit my Father at the end of March. Wanted to point this out in case I should be excluded from consideration. Thank you.
I have been using the shot scope watch. With my latest round and how off it was though it would be nice to have something like this. Really looking at the slope feature, as that would help with the realistic number and be a compliment to my existing watch

GPS distances were off?
Have not seen that before.

Yeah like way off. I posted one picture where I was like 80 yards away from the green and it thought I was putting.
That sounds like a data tracking, issue, as the satellites dont seem to really do that.
Could you have been 80 yards away next to another green maybe?
Super interesting.

I am trying to find the shot scope thread to reply to you from it but honestly I am having trouble from my phone to find it. Hah
Great testing opportunity! I have not used a rangefinder enough the last several years and I typically rely on my Shot Scope watch for distances.
Good luck everyone!

Don’t you find that some times you want to shot a font or back pin to know? The greens here are deep so having that really helps with putts
I wasn’t going to throw my hat into this, but looking at the extended forecast and how badly I’ve wanted to test (or just buy) this – I gotta give it a shot. Courses literally opening up today and by the time I get this in my hands I’m confident I’ll be able to review this properly. It’s too good to pass up this opportunity.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using?
Only currently using my Garmin S70 and sometimes ShotScope V5.
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about?
First – I’ve had a rangefinder before but I’ve never seriously used one. I’ve looked through one and just didn’t want to take the time or hold people up. I’m curious how much more accurate it is than my current watches. I’m also intrigued about Vortex in general. I know they’re a quality product (from the hunting side) but I know people who work their and swear by their stuff. Having something quality with the clarity, image stabilization, pin spotter mode – I think that might alleviate some of the concerns I have with using a rangefinder.
Good luck to everyone in this.

If I do I just pull out my rangefinder and shoot the pin. However that is rare and the how accurate are everyday golfers firing at a pin? I am going to take middle of the green all the time.

Same here. The slope options give me maybe a bit more help on occasion than just a distance but to your point I’m not good enough that 4 yards plus or minus really means much. 80 is as good as 87 most days and if I see trouble short I just take an extra club.
Having the option or ability to hit it differently would be helpful, or could be helpful in specific situations. Honestly though the reason I have not purchased one is that I always wonder how duplicated the effort would be.
Step 1 – What laser or distance measuring device are you currently using? Leupold gx-3i^3 and the grint
Step 2 – What feature of the Anarch are you interested in finding out about? This thing has a ton of attractive features. Most excited about the slope feature as well as the image stabilization since I do get some tremors now and then.
Would love to contribute. Thanks for the opportunity
1. I currently us the the Arccos app to find distances to pin.
2. I really like the idea of having better data and slope information as I work on reading courses and bringing my handicap down!
