A baseball cap has so many great uses. Having a bad hair day? Put on a hat. Going to the gym? Put on a hat. How about when you go to your son or daughters baseball or soccer game? You wear a hat. Time to hit the links? I know I definitely need to put on a hat. The list can go on and on, a hat is a staple in just about anyones wardrobe. Unfortunately, for women, we haven’t really had many choices beyond the standard men’s cap and if we are lucky maybe we can find it in pink. If you want choices, if you want variety, if you want a hat that will really express your personality, look no further, Mad Capz has arrived. Here at THP we get requests for all sorts of golf related items, and hats are at the top of the list. With such creative designs and a touching story we were very excited to reach out to Carrie Bell of Mad Capz.
Here is a little blurb from her site to learn more about Carrie Bell herself, and how and why Mad Capz was started:
“A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Grave’s Disease (an autoimmune disorder that affects the thyroid, which in turn affects every other part of you). The only exercise I could handle was going for walks and I always reached for one of my husband’s baseball caps because I was losing my hair (another symptom of Grave’s Disease). But wearing a man’s baseball cap with a sports team or company logo just didn’t do it for me. So, I began my search for a feminine stylish baseball cap that I could enjoy wearing, would make me look great, and feel fabulous!
My search for this colorful fun woman’s baseball cap became an obsession with me: I scoured the malls, catalogs, and the internet – all in vain. Finally, I decided to make one myself.
My friends loved the prototype cap. When my daughter said she wanted one I knew I was on to something. Madcapz was born!
Since that day I’ve made caps in over 50 colorful fun patterns and I add new ones all the time. Each one is designed to fit women, offer great sun protection, and make you feel fabulous when you wear it.
Madcapz now come in women’s visors and kids’ caps, too. And I’m proud to say, MADCAPZ are MADE IN THE USA.
I hope you enjoy wearing your new MADCAPZ as much as I enjoy making them.”
Carrie sent us three items from her collection, two visors and one baseball cap. The two visors we received were the Animal Safari curly cord and Birdies and Bogies self fastening visors. If you like leopard print you will love the safari style, it will definitely bring out your inner animal. For the golf enthusiast, such as myself, the Birdies and Bogies is perfect for the course. The visors are extremely comfortable and the curly cord makes for easy size adjustment. The bill is not too long like most men’s caps but still long enough to protect you from the sun. The third item from Carrie was their Polka Dot Pink cap. It is a pink baseball hat with brown polka dots. This was my favorite of all the items she sent, what can I say I am a sucker for polka dots, and I have a love for pink. The hat felt great and had an adjustable strap in the back to allow for proper fitting.
Mad Capz has so many different styles and patterns there is truly something for everyone. Want a hat for your teenager, toddler, or infant? No problem, Mad Capz has you, and your beloved, covered. There are definitely some hats that are a little too creative for me, but that is what makes Mad Capz so great. From the ultra conservative to the eccentric and experimental, they will have a hat or visor to fit your personality. Their price point is right on with an MSRP ranging from $12.00 to $19.99 for the different products. You can check out their extensive inventory and purchase one of these great hats/visors at Mad Capz.
