Never Compromise Makes a Splash on Tour

Spring is in the air and many of us are enjoying the yearly miracle of nature starting over from scratch. Grass is growing, flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, and the temperatures are finally rising. Oh, and who could forget that the PGA Tour is in full swing! This is the season to start anew from a clean slate and it seems that one familiar brand has come down with a case of spring fever. Never Compromise is certainly familiar to many of us that love everything golf, but some may not know that this well respected company recently went through a rebirth of sorts.

In March 2011, The Gambler series of putters was introduced to the world. The Gambler represented a complete shift in the way that Never Compromise approached producing putters. Gone were they days of mass production. Instead, the Gambler was a limited release that focused on impeccable craftsmanship and numerous customization options. Lucky owners were graced with a truly one-of –a kind putter that not only performed on the course, but gave them a keepsake of sorts. THP and the Tour Spot had a chance to get an early look at the Gambler and it has been the focus of many conversations over the last few months. Our excitement was apparently shared by more than a few PGA Tour pros. Players like Boo Weekley and Steve Marino have had some pretty high profile rounds with the Gambler in their bag already at this early point in the season. Who could forget the huge putt Marino made on 18 at Bay Hill to keep himself in the mix until the very end?

Interestingly, Never Compromise is reinventing itself again with another new line of putters that just got released. Some of you may have heard of the Dinero series already, but those of you that haven’t are certainly in for a treat when you see them. Never Compromise has taken the words custom and craftsmanship to a new level with the Dinero. Featuring an international currency them, these putters have incredibly bold names like Tycoon, Exec, and Mogul.

Even more astounding is the number of PGA Tour players that have already put the 2011 line of Never Compromise putters in their bags. These putters are gaining recognition and praise from many familiar names and have had some exposure on Sunday already. It is spectacular that a line of putters that is less than six months old already has this level of use on Tour, especially considering that it is relatively exclusive compared to some other lines out there. It goes without saying that the putter is the most personal club in a golfer’s bag. To see so many professionals making a switch is a sign that Never Compromise has made an impression with their two newest releases. Tim Herron, who is a staffer for another major OEM, is playing one the new Never Compromise putters, and has seen improved results this year. It seems like just a matter of time before the Gambler or Dinero is sinking a winning putt on Tour. Whether it’s Marino, Toms, Boo, or another name remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a win with a Gambler or Dinero sometime in the very near future. Stay tuned to the Tour Spot for more updates as the 2011 PGA Tour season continues.
