New Callaway Opus Wedges Hit Tour

It is that time of year. New products begin to be tested on the PGA Tour and this week you will begin seeing new wedges in players’ bags. Here is the first look at the Callaway Opus wedges.

Over the next three days, Tour Reps will be working with players in the field, including their staff, and fitting them into the new Callaway Opus wedges. All leading to Thursday’s Opening round where we are sure to see a few in bags immediately.

When the Callaway JAWS Raw wedges dropped in June of 2022, we saw a more streamlined grind selection. X, W, S and the introduction of the Z Grind (which got rave reviews from the THP Forum). While you may not get all of the grind details of the full Opus release this week, it is something worth paying attention to.

While the photo available to share doesn’t show a lot, its safe to say that plenty of options will be available again and as they begin to appear in tour bags, more information can be ascertained.

Our typical deep dive into the tech will have to wait until the official launch, but it will be a safe bet that the early buzz will be rather high. Especially as more golfers put them in the bags on tour this week.

What do you think of the new Callaway Opus wedges? Were you a JAWS Raw user and if so, what grinds did you have in the bag? Stay tuned to THP as more as more info is available we will share it here.
