Late in 2020 Nippon Shaft introduced the newest design into their MODUS3 lineup, the N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 115. Aimed at filling a void in their offerings, the Tour 115 is for the golfer looking for a traditional bend profile with familiar feel, but in a weight heavier than the Tour 105 and lighter than the Tour 125.
A mid trajectory and mid spin design, the Tour 115 was brought to market as a celebration of Nippon’s 10 year anniversary for the creation of the MODUS3 line and the subsequent successes through a multitude of worldwide wins. The company wanted to do something special, so the Tour 115 was introduced as a limited release of 2,000 sets finished in Nippon’s unique “Black Velor” plating.
Fast forward to 2022, and the initial run of Tour 115’s were met with much success and praise from golfers across the spectrum, as it hits a weight class many are transitioning to as we learn more about golf shafts and their design. Now, the N.S. PRO MODUS3 is coming to a broader release with American clubfitters in the classic chrome and red graphics that the lineup is so easily recognized by.
To get all the full, in depth details, including launch monitor data from testing, be sure to check out the full review on the MODUS3 115’s here. These will hit fitters late March of 2022 and be priced the same as the rest of the MODUS3lineup.

If anyone is on the fence about Nippon shafts, I would say go give them a try
You hurt me.?
Probably too stiff for me even tho the PGASS fitted me into it
It’s possible, but they’re usually pretty hard set on releases like that.
Heavy detail in the review
It’s a great design to fill out their fitting matrix for sure.
Yeah the black shafts they have released in the past are super hard to find and like @McLovin mentioned above..they aint cheap!
Oh yeah I saw where he said that I just want to experience the difference. I didn’t really like the 105 when I tested them so combining/mixing doesn’t jump out as appealing. I really like Nippon shafts so I will test out when I can but it is gonna be hard to knock the 120’s out.
I heart @Jman
They will, through authorized fitters. I believe numbers will still be pretty tame initially though.
That was kind of my point
They’re fun. Just right in that really good weight range imo.
If I knew how to swap shafts and swing weight irons I would probably try pick up a set
Any more updates on the 115’s? Played 105’s in my Apex 19’s and they were perfect, not so in the Apex 21’s so playing 120’s and thinking of trying the 115’s in the 21’s. Don’t know what the difference was but the 21 head didn’t like the 105’s for me comparing the two iron heads????????
Remedy: tip XX light weight steel shaft by 1.5 inches. Now tip is stiff and flex point is middle of the shaft.
Pick up a shaft from the used bin and try it before making a judgement.
