Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 309. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday we give you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Mike Yagley and Scott Walsh join the show to discuss an epic journey exploring 8 different states through golf.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Yags (along with Scott) dive into many topics including the challenge and excitement of following Route 66 and chasing ideas and recommendations from locals. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Mike Yagley and Scott Walsh go Off Course.

Episode 309 is here and Dan and Yags discuss the following topics and a whole lot more.
100 years of Route 66
The challenge and excitement of following a route like 66
Exploring 8 States worth of golf potential
Avoiding chain hotels and food
Chasing ideas and recommendations from locals
And so much more
You can listen to the show right here, Apple Podcasts or anywhere you do your listening and downloading from, including Spotify and more. Search for the Hackers Paradise and make sure to subscribe so you never miss an episode. After listening, come back over here and drop us a note below on what you agree and/or disagree with from the episode you just heard. If you get a chance, drop us a review wherever you listen from and let others know what you think of the show and/or channel.
Off course is now available in video form as well. Tune into the THPGolf YouTube Channel, jump into the latest episode’s video and watch the interaction between Dan and his guests each week rather than just listen.

The title alone peaked my interest. Will give this a listen very soon.
This is such a cool idea for a golf trip!
Looking forward to this one
Well this one should be fun!
Long drive today so this will help things go quickly!
This sounds like a fun one… can’t wait to drive to work now.
I can’t wait to dive into this today.
I actually remember traveling on Route 66 in 1957 in a ‘56 Chevy station wagon, step father in the navy and transferred from Norfolk to San Diego. Really had to be concerned about engines and brakes overheating back then.
This should be a fantastic listen!!!
Big ball of twine and barb wire museum 🤣🤣🤣
Well this is certainly an unexpected and fun topic.
This is a fun topic! Looking forward to listening on the way out to my round this morning.

It’s been too long that I’ve had time to actually watch the Off Course rather than listen and what a perfect return to video. Been a while since we got a “hello daniel!”
Listened to first 3rd on way in to office. I’m really looking forward to following this trip and will be getting the book.

Fantastic listen! Sounds like an amazing experience! Will definitely follow along if @Master Yagley is posting about his experiences.
I’m positive this doesn’t need to be said… Have a blast!
I’ve likely never been so stoked to live in Oklahoma. Three whole days!
What a fun discussion.
Liked the nod to Knoxville.
I think that course was called Windriver

I am weirdly intrigued by the areas that are no longer drivable.
It’s definitely on brand for @Master Yagley to be voting to stay in the haunted hotels. This should be great follow and I really hope these guys have a fantastic time.
What a great interview, and guests! Honestly love the trip idea, it combines car culture and golf two of my very favorite things. I am going to be glued to the screen for this one, and commenting heavily.
Any car guys here watch Pole Barn Garage? This reminds me of Poverty Tour, but golf heavy.
Yo!!! We need a good track near Springfield MO… scenic, historic, fun, great shape, must have post round burger… any of those! Who’s got suggestions?
What a listen! I think I’m one of the guys who has no idea what a sand green is lol
First thing I thought of driving this was Cars, so having a Lightning McQueen on the dash for the drive is awesome!

there is a section of Route 66 outside of Gallup that when you see it…you know this is where they took inspiration for Cars scenery.

I posted up some SGF MO info in the other thread earlier. Loved the Off Course video … you guys are doing it right!!!
This goes on in the morning when I’m driving to the course. I absolutely hate that I can’t swing by their trip.
Tuned in yesterday on my drive to someplace with power haha. This sounds like so much fun @Master Yagley. Complete (sort of) fly by the seat of the pants golf trip, also sort of haha. What a cool experience. Hope to follow along in the the thread with what he chooses to share.
Listened to the pod today and this trip just sounds better and better all the time. Winging it will produce epic stops, I’m sure.
