Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 235. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Jason Finley from Callaway Golf, joins the show to discuss the brand new addition to the Chrome Tour family of golf balls.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Jason dive into many topics including going down the Chrome family rabbit hole and a nationwide battle of golf balls with a bit of a surprising outcome. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Jason Finley goes Off Course.
Episode 235 is here and Dan and Jason discuss the following topics.
Going Down the Chrome Family Rabbit Hole
Who Drives the Need for New Balls in a Lineup
A Nationwide Battle of Golf Balls
SuperSoft is Everywhere
Bringing Ideas to ERC
Looking Forward to 2026
And so much more

Alright! FINALLY about to dive into this one!
Got to listen to this on the drive home. Another fantastic episode!
Do Ohio fans even like herbstriet?
Just finished watching on YouTube, great episode. A lot of exciting things coming in ’25, and no surprise that they’re already hard at work on the ’26 products. I could have listened to another hour of @Canadan and @JasonFinleyCG, always such a good conversation and fun to hear his thoughts and wisdom.
Getting into this today…the chrome tour challenge winning 80-85% against competition?! That’s BIG! ?
The side stamp moving on triple track to have a blank side was so smartly done…love that detail
Tour only ball talk
Awesome how chrome tour was born out of a tour prototype ball
Really cool to see evolving like that
Finally getting a chance to listen to this. 30 seconds in “it’s sitting right here next to my belt.” Triggered.
@JasonFinleyCG is so matter of fact. Really enjoyed this podcast. There were a few other drops listed in this pod besides the Chrome Tour ???.
I think one of the most memorable things here was listening to Jason talk about how they used the “bring your gamer” ball fittings and some other feedback to really bring to light the necessity for this golf ball. I also really liked how it fits in the line up.
Like the Chrome Tour, but want a firmer feel (check)
Like the Chrome Tour X, but want a ball that spins a little less (check)

There was so much good information in this. @JasonFinleyCG blesses us constantly with easily digestible in-depth info, as well as being a golf ball wizard.
This is intriguing! Can’t wait to try the TD ball!
I started listening to this one Sunday when going to grab breakfast. One of the things mentioned was seeing people draw their own triple track on non-Callaway balls. Sure enough what do I find on the edge of the water on our 8th hole…a drawn triple track ball. @Canadan I give you the Mexican Triple Track and @JasonFinleyCG your next idea with the Cinco Track.

I’ve seen it once or twice before but it was pretty crazy to see both of these just a few hours after hearing you talk about seeing it quite often.

they make tools to draw them on. I feel like it’s the ball retriever of alignment tools.

This is true. My father asked me if I wanted one because he got one at a scramble. I said “I have neither a ball retriever nor a 14 way bag” to which he said “do you need one? I have an extra ball retriever”

I have big regrets I never picked this one up.
finally listened this morning…great stuff from @Canadan and @JasonFinleyCG ! Enjoyed the entire episode but was particularly intrigued by the ERC AI discussion. It’s cool that Truvis is back too.
Finally got this done. Great episode again! As @JasonFinleyCG was talking about the new Triple Diamond, I was sure I’d transition there because I loved the CSX LS, outside the firmness. But hearing why plays Chrome Soft like I did a lot last year makes me think I’ll stay with that line.
One thing I hoped you’d asked @Canadan was the chance for a new run of GD balls… Those were amazing to have ?
Got to listen this yesterday on a train ride, great conversation, some real insights and honesty from Findlay.
Keep doing what you are doing because these are great !
