Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today a forum member joins the show to talk about the passion for the game that we all share.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Chris discuss everything from golfing in Montana to what it is like winning the greatest contest in the world for any golfer. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as MuchMore goes Off Course.
Episode 116 is here and Dan and Chris discuss the following topics.
Winning a Trip to the Grandaddy of Em All
The THP Forum Community
Playing on Different Types of Grass
And so much more

Not the best picture. This is the wall @Canadan saw during the show. I really need an actual display for the balls too

*this is an older picture and the shafts have since been straightened lol
As an aside, it was nice to meet you, albeit virtually. I really enjoyed the podcast today.
What a great collection! Love that wall!!!
Really does feel like an eternity ago. Back then I was happy to get 500 posts in three months
Real deal lol
Long live the jogger! Great listen today, @Canadan & @Muchmore18! The Grandaddy talk brought all the emotions back.
Although I am definitely sitting here acknowledging the potential of that ledge re: funko pops
This is my golf room*. My Funkos and bobbleheads are in my game room lol
* room is generous since it’s an area supposed to be used as a wet bar or something of that nature
It’s still in chaos, thanks
You’re lucky I didn’t steal the Yoda.
That thing is ????
It’s not like i could’ve stopped you ?
It’s because it is a fun place to be and engage with. While the THP team has made a great place to be, but the members here are what bring me back day after day.
Hahaha I need to try this some time it sounds wild.
10 out of 10 recommend lol
1. Eastern Montana is not flat. There are some very interesting landscapes there.
2. Montana mountains are world class. And wild in ways most people can’t comprehend. Hardy people here.
3. Montana golf is robust, real, awesome, and as diverse as our landscapes. On a per capita basis, it can challenge any state. Only 1M people but 4th largest state in the US In terms of geography. Darn good courses and passionate golf culture here.
4. Given that Chris is a relative newlywed, I am curious how the golf budget discussion is going …
5. Following Chris and everyone in last year’s GD was some of the most fun I have had on THP. They were a fantastic group. Team this year has BIG shoes to fill.
Eastern Montana is flat and nowhere I want to be lol
to me, eastern is Miles City and beyond
That’s North Dakota west. ?
But seriously, look at this terrain map of the state. Then compare to the midwest, which is flat. Not flat.

Flatter than what I consider mountainous. It’s flat lol
But yes I understand it isn’t ACTUALLY prairie flat
Lmao prairie flat hahahahaha
I really appreciate this feedback!
It’s something I want to keep doing very much.
wrx?
What?!
@Canadan so what is it about a longneck putter that you like/prefer? Just feel as it fits your putter stroke?
@Muchmore18 that ball on your best round totally has value!!!! You made an amazing recovery 18 to finish under par. Absolutely deserves the recognition!
Yessir. The more face balanced presence suits my stroke really well.
Ah gotcha. I’m very much looking to finally go through a putter fitting process (about 2 weeks away). In the past I haven’t tried things as much as I needed/should have
It’s something I sorted out during my SAM fitting at Club Champion. I barely open and close the face during the stroke, so something that is face balanced seems to really support that and not work against my style.

I’m hoping to get *all* the info from it (mine is the $100 deal at CC, but I’m hoping to really focus on the putter)
thanks for the picture, sure enjoyed listening to the show! Agree with your advice on pictures, I didn’t take near enough at the MC last year! Especially of the guys I got to enjoy the rounds with!
@Canadan, I suspected some of your ponders are to help posting. Well played ?
Hahaha it usually makes for a pretty fun debate especially when it’s a mallet putter or joggers hahaha
Glad you enjoyed it! I could have talked about the Grandaddy for hours so if you ever need anything, just let me know! Though you already have a fantastic resource in Tev!
