Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 215. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Josh Talge, VP of Marketing of Titleist Golf Clubs joins the show and we take a deep dive into the brand new launch of GT.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and JT dive into many topics including tour engagement and feedback and why the Titleist GT driver is “GT”. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Josh Talge goes Off Course.

Episode 215 is here and Dan and JT discuss the following topics.
The Titleist GT Driver – Why GT?
Tour Acceptance and Feedback
New Technologies – New Materials
Attention to Aerodynamics
The Focus on Sound
And so much more
You can listen to the show right here, Apple Podcasts or anywhere you do your listening and downloading from. Search for the Hackers Paradise and make sure to subscribe so you never miss an episode. Perfect timing for the morning commute.
Yes! I was hoping you’d get him in the studio for some GT talk!
I admit, I’ve long since viewed Titleist as something that’s not my style/budget or otherwise targeted at my level of a player. But TSR and now GT are changing my perception.
Figured something along these lines was coming! Going to be a great listen!
The conversation about how you have to balance aero vs CG is really interesting to me.
Spin consistency talk is music to my ears. It’s a must-have in this era of driver design.
My mind is blown and my ego bruised to know that companies are juicing the sound for slow people ?
Dan and Titleist…. I’ll make time.
I’ll be finding some time before a 940 tee time to enjoy this one.
GT shall now be known as Giant Taco.
Will take a listen and have so enjoyed the TSi and TSr lines.
US Military, NASA, and Titleist :ROFLMAO: that should be on their sales pitches.
BTW all—- take note of Mr T gaming a 44.25″ driver! He is not a small man…. so really cool to see him game a shorter driver.
Wild hearing that polymer sound.
With the morning coffee

Will check this out later this morning.
Talge Time! I can’t wait!
This will be ready to listen to on my drive to the course tomorrow!
Loving @Hawk live posting his thoughts as he listens hahaha
I told the other Experience guys yesterday I had a hunch I knew what Off Course was gonna be today. Can’t wait to listen at lunch!
Canada with Josh Talge? let’s go!
the YouTube addition makes these even better, thanks guys.
Baller!
Enjoyed this one gents, listening to the material fall a couple of time was pretty crazy. Very metallic sound from a non metallic piece.
Lots of great info today. Will have to watch a couple times to digest it all. Half a million drivers blows my mind. Sound modification is something I had not considered. Proto + love hearing that. Now I just need August 22nd to get here so I can do my fitting

Also found the acoustics from your GT3 to be solid. Nothing too high pitched, nothing muted- just the right sound in my opinion.

It was a surprise to me during my fitting.
REALLY satisfying when hit well. Instantly rewarding.
Won’t get to play today so “you’re good Dan” ??.

Even those strikes that aren’t the best were solid on the eardrums.
Made it about halfway through before getting to the office, just at the part where Talge drops the material. When he drops that polymer material on the floor, my brain just did a . Crazy that its not metal, yet sounds like that. Looking forward to catching the 2nd half a little later today.
I am barely into this.. But the whats in the bag was fun.. I love all the specs talk. he knows what he wants to play and it is set!!
A frankeniron. That’s pretty cool.
Great listen. Quite a bit of tech for the sound! cannot wait to try these out!
Great timing on this one! I’m out of town right now and can listen to this before I take delivery of my GTs when I get home (I think they get delivered today). Kinda perfect.
Side note: I’m guessing you’ve had this in the can for a while waiting on the embargo? It must be tough keeping quiet on the forum at times while we’re all guessing and speculating. Like a kid who knows what everyone is getting for Christmas but can’t say anything. ?
This was a great listen. I always like hearing from Josh. He always sounds excited when the new equipment comes out.
Just finished watching, and I’m even more intrigued by that beyond carbon fibre, proprietary material. I was not expecting that metallic sound when Talge dropped it on his desk.
Such a wild design to incorporate the CG and aerodynamics that they were looking for.

It was. I really appreciate when someone knows what they play and why.
I was really hoping for an answer to that left dot question! Thanks for asking @Canadan!
Cant wait for my GT to arrive.
“Prototype 2 Wood”….
Will continue to dream
just finished the whole thing. Great listen! I love hearing excitement from these guys. You can hear the smile as they talk!
Great episode as always. If the GTs are so good out of the heel I may need to give one a hard look.

Makes me really want to go 5 in the fairway slot. Then wait for the prototype to be removed from said club.
Great episode @Canadan, always enjoy listening to Josh speak.
Really enjoyed it. I can’t understand how anybody could attempt to claim that there isn’t a good tech story here.
Really enjoyed the episode, especially the bit about the polymer crown. I’m typically an audio guy on this but will go find the video to see the sheet material
Excellent episode the new GT line is solid. I look forward to trying them out someday, I’m really intrigued by the 44.25 driver shaft he plays.
Enjoyed the podcast. Loved his WITB. 2w? 3.5 iron? The perks of being THE man at Titleist!
Been hard to not listen to this. I have it downloaded for my flight Thursday.
