Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 218. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Chris Voshall from Mizuno Golf joins the show and we take a deep dive into the brand new launch of the JPX925 irons from earlier this week.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Chris dive into many topics including the new JPX925 Hot Metal line of clubs. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Chris Voshall goes Off Course.

Episode 218 is here and Dan and Vosh discuss the following topics.
The New Mizuno JPX925 Irons
Nickel Chromoly
CORTech
Leaning on Shaft Optimizer Data
Tech in JPX vs Mizuno Pro
And so much more

Loved the threshold loft discussion. As a slower swing speed player I have fully embraced my lack of speed and only carry 7i down and have hybrids for 6 up because I can’t carry the lower lofted irons. Love they have it in the Optimizer. Hit what works.
Man I’m excited to see what happens with the Forged offering. Maybe a more forgiving, high launch version? One can hope….

I am equally excited about the Hot Metal Pros. Coming from 919Forged, I am expecting a lot of forgiveness and launch from this. Can’t wait to give them a go.
Still impressed at what a great conversation this was.
Loved Chris’ transparent discussion about lofts….
