Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 214. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Chris Koske from SkyTrak and GolfTEC joins the show and we take a deep dive the GolfTec and SkyTrak collaboration.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Chris dive into many topics including after two years how the GolfTec and SkyTrak collaboration is doing. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Chris Koske goes Off Course.

Episode 214 is here and Dan and Chris discuss the following topics.
GolfTec and SkyTrak Collaboration
The State of the Company
Misconceptions About GolfTec
Golf as a Digital Experience
Custom Ranges and Course Play
And so much more

I think something I have struggled with this year, while mainly being in the sim and rarely outdoors and on a course, that at times I feel like less of a golfer. Like on a daily basis, despite practicing and working on my swing more than I ever have before, that what I am doing doesn’t “count”.
Part of it is coming from trying to hit the ball harder/faster/further most of the time, that the effort is wasted and that it isn’t going to translate to better golf overall. We’ll eventually see when we can get back onto a course again.
I have to remember though, the alternative to all of this is just not swinging a club at all, and in the offseason going 6+ months without any golf related movement at all. I have to take what I can get I suppose. I can still hit balls, I can still take lessons (which is actually an upside to Sim Life…. indoor lessons all winter). I probably hit balls more, with weather not being a factor (except for golf outdoors).

I would take being able to hit on a sim whenever I wanted 11/10 times. I still call that golf.

So you dudes are suggesting I should definitely NOT stop with that intro?
I’ve had the last 2-3 guests kind of smirk as I go through it haha

100% it HAS to stay!!
This was a great surprise to a Thursday and a fantastic listen. So much has come together between GolfTec and SkyTrak in the last two years. Pretty cool having all that in house which lets them do some really cool things especially around the SW…I mean a last minute Times Square driving range for the Manhattan launch in only 48 hours? The global expansion has been pretty impressive too over the last year. Had no clue they were in all those places.

Oh it’s @Koske! I’ll need to make time for this one asap.
This was a great listen, it’s amazing they improvements to SkyTrak that have been made in a short time. Was fun hearing about the combination of GolfTec and SkyTrak and the possiblity of GoflTec Coaches getting to design upcoming driving ranges. Also interesting to hear what the TEC stood for and would be really interested in them getting into the “Conditioning” portion of that. The possibilities with this combination including more driving ranges, online lessons, practice reviewed by instructors etc is amazing to consider.

I’m not sure what I’d do with life if I can’t hear Dan’s “Golfing Legends.”
Fun episode. My journey with Golftec has not quite seen my handicap drop 7 strokes. but I was back struggling to break 100 when I started taking lessons 12 weeks ago. I shot a 90 and 84 on back to back days last weekend. The thing that stood out most for me during my swing eval was not seeing what I do wrong….but actually being shown what I do right! That gave me a lot of confidence that I was on the right path. And that with the help of an instructor that understood the golf swing fundamentals…there was a path to improve my swing and help correct the things I don’t do well.
Seeing the swings on camera and seeing the data on the SkyTrak really gave me a lot of tools to take with my on my golf journey. I enjoyed it so much I ran out and got a ST+ of my own.

A testament to both the teaching approach, and the product!
Finally had the time to watch this. Great content!
Man the possibilities seem endless with the path SkyTrak is on. Also sounds like a lot of fun
