Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show. Hosted by Dan Edwards each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today Dan welcomes THP Forum Member TexasHacker34 to the show to talk about a slew of topics including the grand finale of the THP Experiences lineup.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Taylor joins the show to talk about the Grandaddy, taking time away from the game and a whole lot more. This episode has a lot going on and it is an episode you will not want to miss as TexasHacker34 goes Off Course.
Episode 86 is here and Dan and Taylor discuss the following topics.
The Grandaddy of Em All
Taking Time Away from the Game
Exercise and Golf
And so much more

Toppings on pizza are fine, but they can be used to hide an inferior pizza. That’s not to say the toppings or pizza with toppings are inferior, but that there’s no where to hide your ingredients or capabilities making a cheese pizza.
But if the toppings are good enough, is the pizza really inferior? Deep thinking here…
The crust, sauce and cheese most certainly can be.
Tomato is a fruit.
I always get that mixed up. Seems like it should be a vegetable. Well, it still makes me feel like there is a little something healthy to pizza with nothing else but meat, cheese and bread. ?
Currently no. But it’s something we have researched and will continue to as it evolves in 2022.
Pineapple doesn’t belong on ANY pizza EVER.
I ?? My guy Taylor. Even if you make me feel super old brother!
You the man. Can’t wait for some 2022 golf with you
…..With Dan
I’m good with mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, onions, jalapeños, even spinach (on the right pizza). 100% with you on the pineapple – I’ll grudgingly eat it if the only other option is no pizza, but it’s not something I’ll ever order on a pizza. And fruit only belongs on dessert pizzas!
Great podcast, Dan and Taylor covered a lot of ground and it was fun! And it’s perfectly okay that @Canadan was right about pizza, but wrong about shorts on the Tour.
Great listen as always, thanks for making my fridays
I am pumped that you are pumped.
Dude.. That is a given, did you listen to the show?!
I am pumped that you are pumped that I am pumped
I am familiar with it.
Then you should know I already committed with the host to play golf with you this year!
I haven’t been able to get on Shadow Glen unfortunately, I have some friends who have, and they speak very highly of it.
You definitely need to get out to Stone Canyon. Unfortunately, being in Mission, basically every non-private golf course is 30 minutes from my house haha
But this pizza talk around here needs some structure. There is a rabid dislike of pineapple (a fruit) on pizza, but then we just accept tomato (another fruit) as acceptable? My point is, fruit classification can’t be an automatic pizza topping disqualification.
It’s crazy to hear about how much momentum has built for the grandaddy since 2013. I haven’t been on the forum for that long, but I do think the updated forum interface has really helped the live threads go to the next level. Posting pics and videos is so much easier now.
I heard once you should warm up to hit balls, not hit balls to warm up. I am getting to where I believe that and want to do something physical before I play to get the body primed.
I need to get in the gym more! Mobility is slowly decreasing as tick up in age.
The mobility work is a game changer. I even bought some bands for the house to use on off days.
Sautéed mushroom and onions, smoked mozzarella.
Some good combos out there for veggies.
I always have a 30 minute workout before a round, preceded by a Theragun warmup.
I prefer cheese pizza but I will say I am ok with anything on pizza and I do like Hawaiian pizza as well.
If pineapple has a place in Tacos Al Pastor, they have a place on a pizza. Onions, Pineapple and some kind’a pork apparently is the partnership
Mira not my fav but I am not offended by it. I have had some awesome desert pizza with fruit as well.
The chocolate/nutella with fruit desert pizza is a trend. I don’t know if it is for me (haven’t tried it) but whatever one enjoys is good.
One of our local wood-fired places makes a really good PB & banana dessert pizza. They have a few other fruity ones as well.
