Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today Vice President of Marketing of Titleist Golf Clubs, Josh Talge joins the conversation to talk all about TSR.

It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Josh talk about the unique head offerings that Titleist TSR brings tot he table as well as jumping into the shaft conversation a bit. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Josh Talge goes Off Course.
Episode 129 is here and Dan and Josh Talge discuss the following topics.
Titleist TSR and their unique head offerings
Shaft offerings for TSR
My experiences with SM9
Wedge wear and replacement
The Titleist Golf Ball
And so much more

No sir. He was on previously with the release of their last irons.
JT has a ton of confidence in this release.
That missing "eh" in the middle bothers me…

I think this is motivating me to retire the current lob wedge also.
Josh was spot on about how cool it was to be able to play the TSR3 w/ Stephanie. She is def. a stick (shot -1 on front Day 2). I asked her after she piped yet another drive if it’s just the coolest thing to hit a ball like that w/ the actual driver that she designed. Her reply was "absolutely!"
Also loved how Josh mentioned that the TSR line works for all sorts of players. I was lucky enough to watch @Kmench just hit nuke after nuke on the range and then played w/ @Roadrunner and witness him just hit that baby draw into fairway every time as Josh said.
Now, left dot….haha! The convo you guys had explained exactly why I enjoy it so much! Looking forward to what they do with the ProV line next year. The Dot hunt continues and will know next week if I can gather more of this fuel. Until then I will wait and see what they bring next year.
Great stuff guys!
Also you didn’t introduce as THE ORIGINAL Off Course. Made me sad lol
Yeah I heard that comment and immediately thought "uh I’ve changed my 54 grip twice now…"
Great listen. I really like how Titleist wants to make sure there’s genuine noticeable performance benefits from one line to the next when they consider release cycles. Not that other companies *don’t* think about that, but they want to make sure you can pick up a new club and go "yeah definitely better/different".
Should I keep that going?
I’ve been debating a different entry to the show. I didn’t know if that had run its course.
I am going to start capturing the durability of my wedges throughout the year. As I only use my 58 out of the bunkers (generally speaking), the other two look fantastic by comparison.
TPI is such a cool place.
The left side range they have set up to look like a golf hole is brilliant.
Your show my friend! I just noticed it was missing for the first ti e sine you started it and I missed it lol
That was a really interesting tidbit there. Also enjoyed the rest of the talk about wedges.
And @Candan, take the leap ?
What leap?
The vokey at the PW spot
Ohhhhhhhh
But the 221 PW has hole outs..
Fair, but posting season is almost done, perfect time to experience something a little different
hahaha, people still post?
????
Also, grind talk and wear talk on wedges/SM9 was fascinating and really illuminating. I have an S grind for the 56* and an M grind for the 60*. The 56* is my go to for tighter turf and sand conditions and I’ll chip with it when I want some spin. The 60* is the one where I’ll play with face angle, flop shots, etc. I plan to get a 52* in an F grind for full shots, soft sand and soft turf.
